Hanley Ramirez is back in the clean-up spot again tonight for a fifth straight game, and manager Jack McKeon has no plans to move him out of that spot.

?I was trying to find the right buttons. Maybe that?s the right button,? said McKeon, who earlier in the week would not commit to Ramirez in the four spot.

Ramirez is 7-for-16 (.437) in his first four games in the four hole.

Another night w/o a DH for the Mariners

National League rules apply in tonight's 'road' game for the Seattle Mariners, who play the Florida Marlins at Safeco Field - and Doug Fister's bad luck continues to hold.

Fister has been as consistent as any Seattle starting pitcher, and gone 3-8 despite a 3.34 earned run average. Why? His team simply doesn't score when he's in the game, scoring less for him than any pitcher in the league.

Tonight, there's no designated hitter, which means an offense batting .228 might pick up a notch - Fister is batting .333 this season. The other good news? Justin Smoak returns to the lineup tonight.

The tougher luck is Anibal Sanchez, the Marlins starting pitcher, hasn't lost since April 10 when Houston beat him. The Mariners who have faced him before are a combined 2-for-17, and Adam Kennedy has both those hits.

Against Sanchez, Eric Wedge rolls out a typical Mariners lineup. Fister may need to go deep tonight:

Sanchez is 6-1 and he's -120??? Something stinks. I think Seattle sneaks it.

Remember...this is "technically" in Seattle and the Mariners have 4 more wins than Florida. -120 is about right IMO. We'll see what happens.....BOL!!

Why are they in Seattle and not Florida?
