It's been long time coming for us die hard fans!!! I read and watch every Video/Article on the boys website for years and years and email back and for the with beat writers......so excited/nervous about this game I can't contain myself!! Going into this season and looking at the schedule- I had my doubts- especially when we brought in Linehan who was known to be pass happy & not knowing how long it would take Zach Martin to play very well at NFL level, No Ware, No Sean Lee, No Hatcher, #2 Draft Pick Hurt, Scandrick out first 4 games and the list goes on & on! How would new D Lineman Mincey, Mclain, Melton play? Would Spencer com back healthy? Caliborne out the whole year....lets say expectations were not high.
THE RAN THE BALL!!!!! WHAT EVERY GOOD TEAM CAN DO!!! HOW YOU WIN...IN THE TRENCHES & WITH ATTITUDE!!! That WIN in SEATTLE gave them confidence they could bet ANYONE!! How did Dallas win in SB years....that O -Line that gave E Smith to run thru, time for Aikman to throw & time for Irvin to get open. As a Fan-you want your team to be tough & physical- why Erik Williams was the jersey I wore back in the day & Larry Allen is jerry I wear today!! The "BIG E" was tough, brought attitude & team cheerleader on sideline. Looks like Zach Martin, T Frederick, Leary, T Smith are paving the way & attitude of Erik Williams, Larry Allen (best O lineman to ever play the game), Tuinei, Newton & Stepnoski. Not hard to win in NFL- You need great O Line, a smart and good QB on offense, get skill position players that have good character- something Garrett firmly believes in!!
1) Knock on Dallas- Good regular season record- can't do anything in December- Well 4-0 in December and 4-0 ATS and averaging roughly 35 points a game, Romo playing lights out, causing turnovers and finally starting get pressure on QB. HOW BOUT DEM APPLES!!! FINALLY!!!
2) Cant win a playoff game- WELL- THIS HAS TO BE PROVEN SUNDAY!! Jerry Jones came out and even said this season we need to win in playoffs- Finally Jerry is listening to Stephen & Garrett!!
3) Romo Factor- With that O-Line & Linehan doing what he is doing with Tony- responsibility is more of Tony's shoulders- but he has to play well. Even in Win against Washington he threw a terrible pass in redzone that Wash LB could have easily picked off and run back for a TD. Yes, he is playing best football of his career- but he needs to be smart with the football & just manage the game!!!
4) Dont play as well at Home- Totl BS!!! I do think they are a tight group that comes together on the road- but those losses- each one was when Romo was hurt. Game one against SF- he wasn't himself, Wash Loss he was hurt, Didn't play against Zona & 4th loss was off the super short week against Philly when he needs a week of rest- didn't take his shot and wasn't himself. Now those were not the "ONLY" reason we lost- but every home Loss was when Ton was injured or off a very very short week to rest his back. I haven't heard one TV commentator state this and been saying this over and over again.....
TO WIN-CANT TURN THE BALL OVER & HAVE TO GET PRESSURE ON STAFFORD!!!!!
I can't bet the game as I want Dallas to just win........but they should & should cover!! They have had a great week of practice mentally, taking it day by day, very healthy going into the game so no time to step up!!! Wouldn't be surprised if they lost Sunday- but would be very disappointed if the loss was ugly!!
