I didn't hear the segment but I can see his argument.

To be honest you can make a great argument to have Young over Leinart with the game on the line.

If the defense has every WR, TE, RB and FB etc covered, Leinart is fawked. Young can still make a play with his legs. So for that one play with the game on the line, Young has 1 more option over Leinart. Also if the OL fails to make 1 block, can Leinart escape pressure on that 1 play? Young prob. can.

On the flip side, Leinart plays so well that most of the "big" games he has played in he never has had to make a big play. Put Leinart on TEXAS and Leinart never throws 2 INT's to OSU. Do you think OSU would have still been in the game without those 2 Young INT's?

I wonder if Texas becomes a better football team with Leinart. Tough question. Would love to here peoples opinions who follow Texas closely.
