Betting certainly won't be like kissing your sister tonight....there are a lot of good plays. First off....be wary of betting the Braves at home -150. Armas Jr. pitches the Braves well (trust me, my wallet told me that last year). It looks like a great bargain to get Glavine at home -150 but its not a bargain when you have to shell out the dough.

ELMER.....you may want to give Elmer Dessens a look. His 9-10 record is lackluster, but he also faces a lot of aces from other teams. Getting Cincy +180 vs. a still relatively new pitcher in Hernandez may be a good bet tonight.

FIGHTING FISH....I've followed the Cubs for years and they are impressing me this year...by far. But Bere has been such a disappointment lately. This game shouldnt be so heavily favored towards the Cubs. Bere gets hit hard once again...and Clement looks like he gets his head out of his tail.

LOOK AT C.C. ......Sabathia has been the shining star in the Indians rotation this year. He's got an above average fastball and keeps his head in the game well for a young pitcher. Lay the chalk on this one...its worth it.

TWINKIES IN THE TOILET.....Unfortunately, one of the great stories of baseball this year won't have a happy ending. The Twins are still getting way too much credit from the linemakers. Unless Texas decides to rest some people tonight for some strange reason, they should outhit the Twins in a high scoring affair.

That's it for now. So what do you guys have to say? I'll post my final picks on this thread later on....feedback is always appreciated.

TIME....I agree, man. Cleveland is getting primed for the post season. My only worry about Sabathia is that he may get tired coming down the stretch of the season beacuse he's not used to pitching this long. He seems to be doing fine with it, however.

Interesting post. At this point you gotta start separating the real teams from the pretenders. Many teams do complete turnarounds for late season.
Game analysis now should be based more on team strength and momentum than stats, pitchers, individual matchups, etc. alone. Good luck

On the course!
I tossed Cincy around, but I still don't think it's a solid play.

I agree with Cleveland, and took them on the run line, as I see a decent win tonight.

As far as the Cubbies? This is the time of the season that you go against them. Sammy has carried their pathetic asses all season, and should get a medal!
