I have this card giving me issues:

Patriot Signature Line (SL) Secure Digital High Capacity Flash Memory cards are based on the SDA 2.0 specifications, a completely new design that is required for cards and hosts to support 4GB and higher capacities. These cards adhere to SD Speed Class Rating specification which defines a minimum sustained transfer speed for SDHC cards. Patriot SDHC cards provide flexibility and storage expansion for the latest SDHC-compatible digital devices such as digital cameras, PDAs and MP3 players.

Please note SDHC cards require SDHC-compatible card readers and devices; SDHC cards are not compatible with previous-generation SD readers.

GREAT: I just now noticed that my reader in the HP Computer running XP does not have hte HC designation, thus the caveat above. Is trhere a driver that could update this, or is it a hardware item.

First in your hearts.
That sucks. This doesn't look like a driver problem, but rather a hardware compatibility problem. If your reader can't "see" the card, then it is hard to do much work on fixing it.

The new SDHC cards will only work in SDHC compatible readers. (Well actually, they will only work in SDHC devices, which include more than just readers, but let's not quibble.) Old SD cards should work in both SD and SDHC readers.

According to their online specifications, this card is SDHC SD 2.0 compliant. If you have an SDHC SD 2.0 compliant device it should work. If not, it probably won't work.

I've never used Patriot, so I don't know anything about them. They do have an Online Technical Support Request Form that you might try. You'll have to fill in the blanks about your specific system and they might be able to help you.

If you are just using this in a camera, see if you can take it back and buy a smaller card. 2GB is a lot of pictures on most cameras and they are cheap.

Sorry I can't help. I'll just add you to the list of guys I've disappointed in my life. Cheers.
