I might have a job in the Cayman Islands..........and of course I will need a place to stay. Was wondering if any fellow madjacker had a place out there or knew anybody who does?

Places there aren't cheap, so any help would be appreciated :)

Also......if anybody could give me any tips that would be great. I have never been there before. But yes I do realize that living there is quite different then vacationing there but any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :p

I interviewed in the Caymans in '98 right out of college at the Marriott. I was granted the job and was scheduled to return in the Fall. Two weeks before I was to depart, hurricanes hit the island and tourism dropped 47%. My job was placed on hold for another 6-12 months, so I moved on to other opportunities.

It is the most beautiful place I have been in my life. The money they offered was ridiculously high for the experience that I had. The best part is no taxes if you live there for more than 18 months without being in the states during that period for more than 2 weeks (I think 2 weeks is right).

I have a friend of a friend on the island named Frankie Flowers (don't laugh--he is real). I didn't believe it until I asked the bellhop about him. Supposedly everyone on the island knows him. I talked to him on the phone, and I am pretty sure that is why I got the job offer in the first place.

Anyway, good luck and have a great time!
