ND: as i'm stuck with basic cable, i've been watching almost ND exclusively--as well as local coverage of BC. And it seems to me that Quinn has looked, well... not-Quinn like the last few weeks. He still shook off any half assed attempts at tackles/sacks, though it seems i can recall a good amount of balls that were thrown into what looked like double and triple coverages. ie. forces to smardzja and lond TD throw to Stovall (really looked llike a bad abll) Hes still gettin the W, so not need for alarm--that is, unless you're giving 5 TD for a spread and are hoping he gets them (w/a lil help from D by mid 2 qtr). Is he jus forcing balls to roommate or in cruise control through games--or is it me??

anybody have a firm grasp of this PURDUE team? I was on them mid year as a go-against with kirsch at helm, and all i read on them is how many starters returnin and their pre season expectations soo high--though from what i gather in limited highlights and boxscores, seeing a diff team with painter at QB. Now this leaves me with no idea of any other component of OFFENSE or what their DEFENSE looks like. That said--i'll still take them giving 12+ @ ILLINOIS--but would be better off if knew a lil more about makeup of squad as presently constituted. thanx in advance

are you kidding me RE. Quinn?

He continues to break every ND passing record out there... He can afford to "force" throws it up for grabs to Stovall or Smardzja against the Navy and BYU cornerbacks of the world when theres a significant talent/height advantage... if you're specifically thinking about the 4th down attempt in the Navy game to smardzja in the end zone, Weis talked in the press conference about not wanting to punt and trying to get a cheap pass interference call... anyways, don't doubt Brady, he'll be fine, ND by 42 this weekend...
