Local Business Raided by NCIS, FBI and Dept. of Defense

University Loft is located around the corner from our offices. I drive by this place every morning. They make furniture for universities and colleges around the U.S. as well as have one of the largest (if not the largest) government contracts for our U.S. military. Reports are sketchy at the moment but the story goes that the CEO's houses in Geist and Florida were raided at the same time. I have a friend who notified about this who knows someone who works there. He said it was just like the movies... everyone came in with guns drawn and yelling, then took a battering ram to the CEO's office door. From the questions this person was asked it sounds like they were buying equipment from overseas and then sticking Made in the USA labels on it and shipping to our military.

I have a good friend who is a federal agent for the IRS here that participates in raids like this for white collar crime.

He said it's pretty crazy during the raids. He is a cell phone forensics guy so his duty in the raids is to make sure all computers and cell phones are collected.

If they had a coordinated raid like that across multiple states, then they have some pretty hard evidence against.
