Long time watcher ...

I've been hanging around for some time now. Ready to wade into the waters.

2 games I really like so figured I'd share:

Michigan -6.5 (1st half)

Iowa has shown very little on the offensive side of the ball. In addition, Iowa QB was quoted in the paper (Des Moines Register) this week as saying the big crowd at Sun Devil Stadium last week rattled him. Ironically in today's paper an Iowa lineman is quoted as saying "Big crowds -- they don't bother us." :slomo Maybe it prepared them for the Big House this week, but with Iowa beating Michigan the last two years (last year in Iowa City, 2002 at the Big House), Michigan's out for blood. I look for Michigan to set the pace early ...

Texas -19 (1st half)

Rice is not good. There are several posts to this effect on here already. Texas: (1) at home, with (2) way more offensive fire power. I like the 'Horns.

Iowa scared me with thier opening drive and score, but proved to be what we've come to expect from them ... a fizzle. Thank goodness for turnovers. :clap:

No opinion on the 2nd half (Mich -7).

I'll just take the first half win and focus on the 'Horns tonight.

I'll take the "W" however it comes. I take it that it was closer than the number appears? I was at a wedding. All I saw was the half time report.

Yes, a win is a win. Rice had the ball first and goal at the 5 with a minute left in the half (TD covers their number). They creep closer, but get stopped on 3rd down at the 1 yard line. They go for it on 4th down and looks like they will get it, but there is an illegal procedure call. They kick the field goal instead.
