3 lines that caught my eye at a glance.

-Auburn only laying 5 to WKY at home with the Iron Bowl on deck. I’ll be on the Hilltoppers

-Iowa/Minn total is only 32.5? It takes a miracle to keep a ncaa game under that. But somehow this one will stay under.

-Lsu only laying two tds to UAB at home. Just beat Bama, and Arkansas on the road. A&M and the secgc ahead. Even if they come out flat as a pancake can UAB keep it under 14? Prob so.

No miracle needed in that iowa/Minnesota total. Iowa’s offense is the worst in power 5 football and almost the worst of all 131 D-1 teams.
The defense on the other hand, is one of the best when not facing an elite offense like Ohio state or Michigan.
It will be 20 degrees at the 3pm game time in Minneapolis and will fall from there as it will be dark early in the 2nd quarter.
Minnesota features one of the best running backs in college football so they will want to run the ball all day long, thus shortening the game by limiting possessions.
Iowa can’t run or throw the ball behind it’s terrible offense line. Coupled with the worst starting QB in power 5 football and there’s a good chance iowa doesn’t score at all on Saturday.
the wild card in all this is the amount of points the iowa defense and special teams have scored this season.
If Minnesota plays clean football and doesn’t turn it over, the total in this game doesn’t reach 20 points.
They should broadcast this game in black and white and play in leather helmets. :mj07:

Thanks for the response and info! The only total I can remember being this low was back in 93 or 94 when Arizona had Desert Swarm and it was 28… the final score in that game was 9-6. Went under by 2 tds :mj07:

Yes, Minnesota runs the ball well. Add to it that the Minn QB looks to the sideline before every play getting last second signals, which burns the play clock down on every snap.

Minnesota is a highly deceiving 7-3 team. None of those seven wins have come against an FBS team currently with a winning record. The three the Golden Gophers played, Purdue, Illinois and Penn State, have all won by two scores and held the Gophers to 17 points or less. Iowa is 6-4 and has a more dominant defense than any of those teams.
