Let's face it while it seems like a good idea on paper, biting a pillow does not really ease the pain of your filly riding your backside going 43 and 1/5 seconds in the half mile like Secretariat in the Belmont. Trying to keep up with coaching changes, roster changes, injuries and free agency is tough enough. Now throw in coaching tendencies, trends, power rankings and strength of schedule you have got a pretty time consuming endeavor on your hands. Rest assured while you were at the beach or on the mini golf course or taking your kid to band camp or to visit colleges you secretly hope they don't get excepted to due to tuition thats out of your league, The Maggot was hunkered down in my bunker reading article after article blog after blog. Isolating my fat ass like the unibomber my knowledge festering like a genital wart on a thai hooker. I have my power rankings fine tuned. I have all the schedule mapped out as to how many wins each team should wind up with. I have depth charts ingrained in my mind. All of the time I spent doing all of this means the chances of me reaching the Holy Grail of going better than 60% are not much better than a fat girl getting asked to prom unless she swallows or fucks on the first date.l
You see for people like us who live and breathe this shit, just when we think we have all the angles covered we tend to create more. Plain and simple we tend to out think ourselves. Worse yet we let the so called experts or "public" knock us off a team or spot. Never let anyone knock you off your spot. I hate when I see somebody on here or other forums talking about squares or public money. Because I have news for you. We the bettors are the public. When they talk about sharp money they are not talking about any of us on here I shit you not. I've been around betting football for 35 years now. My Old man God rest his soul got me started filling out "Bookie" parlay cards and got me into the office pool down at lefty's when I was 8. 35 years of this hit on both sides of the fence and I still get giddy like t's the week before Christmas instead of week 1. I will post some of the tips I have learned the hard way over the years later in the week. If Jack and IE don't mind I will keep this thread as sort of my attempt at a blog with my wagers, my write ups and maybe a little humor. Feel free to fade, heckle, criticize. I can't guarantee a profit but I can guarantee the work will be there and I will have fun doing it. At the end of the day f it isn't fun for you find a new hobby. All over the internet I have seen a lot of writing about why this line is so low. I tend to think the same way. Which means I guess I may be on the "public" play of the week. I don't care. Two teams heading in opposite directions as far as I'm concerned. Drew Brees is not throwing the ball with the authority I'm used to seeing. Both Lines are suspect to say the least. I love the energy Ariens brings game in and game out. I'm hearing strange chemistry issues out of New Orleans.. could Sean payton be losing the locker room? I don't think it is that bad, but I don't see them winning on the road in this spot.
