The Red Wings are the best team left in the playoffs. They were just humiliated by St. Louis. This makes me believe that Hasek is going to be brilliant in net tonight. Just watch out for the Wings, as I think they are ready to explode.

Take the -1.5 DETROIT

For all you people out there thinking that Theodore is going to collapse, think again. I am not saying that Carolina cannot beat him, but if they do Weekes is going to have to step it up. The rest of the series will be filled with low scoring games. Eventhough, the Hurricanes are outshooting the Canadiens, the Canadiens just seem to have those players that can just arise for the playoffs, such as Gilmour, Koivu, and Audette.

Pass on the CAR/MTL game, but do not assume Carolina is a definite, the oddsmakers have placed Montreal as a heavy favourite to win the series, and even a pretty big favourite with tonight with Carolina's backs to the wall. That tells you something.

i agree with the detroit pick anytime you can get detroit -125 and all the players are trying i dont see how you can go against them. the blues have been trying to get in haseks head they have hit him some way shape or form in every game. igor larionov last time i checked was doubtful but they still have about 7 hall of famers left. if they can shut down the blues first line the blues will be done. good luck and will look for a war tonight hasek is tired of getting hit.

I just witnessed last night, 2 games that were just BS.
Montreal should have won and Detroit should have pounded the Blues.

Much like Game 3 of the Toronto/Ottawa series, where the Sens were up 3-0 and ended up winning 3-2 and losing the -1.5, the Red Wings did the same thing last night. What is wrong with these teams????

Watching that Carolina/Montreal made me puke. An awful job done by the referees. There is enough talk in the playoffs, there is no need to give unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for talking, setting up a 5 on 3 advantage. Same thing happened in Game 4 in Toronto, it is just BS.

For tonight pounce on the over for Toronto and Ottawa, I feel these teams will let it all out in a big Game 5, which might determine a lot in this series. Obviously the Senators have the better team, with the Leafs not having Sundin, Renberg, or Yushkevich, and 5 other defensemen. However, they are veteran team and know what to do in these situation. Props to the Roberts/McCauley/Hoglund line.

No doubt about it, you, Rakman and the others who played the WINGS -11/2 last night got jobbed! There have been some strange games in the playoffs thus far, and the crappy officiating certainly has not helped. ESPN should quit showing these idiotic officials every time they call a penalty. Now they are looking for every opportunity to get there ugly mugs on television! Good luck $$$$

Whether or not that penalty should have been called or not, it doesn't matter. Michel Therrien was warned earlier in the game for the same thing. It was completely his fault. They were up 3 goals and the original penalty was definitely a textbook crosscheck. He should have shut his mouth and taken the penalty instead of throwing a tirade and costing his team. It was completely unprofessional on his part and he deserved the penalty for his actions IMO. I hope the Montreal press rips him a new one...Frogy and 1837 you'll have to let me know if he is the scapegoat for last night's game.
