"White was a huge spender at the casino, running up dinner tabs between $15,000 and $20,000 three or four times a week. The meals often included $10,000 tips."

How pissed are the staff, those are some nice tips that they will never see again.

Well that was stupid of them. Isn't the Palms in enough financial trouble already?

Palms has turned over restaurant management to a new company and turned over the sportsbook to Cantor. Just like the M, now impossible to get a drink in the sportsbook...they don't even send the waitress around.

Locals are very unsatisfied and it looks like, from the outside, it's going on the avoid list.

Too bad as it once was a must stop for a stay or, at least, a day in their sportsbook, restaurants and bars.

Who owns the Palms? Only went inside there once. Never have been to the M.

The Palms hit financial trouble in 2010, when it started missing loan payments.[7] Under an agreement reached with creditors TPG Capital and Leonard Green & Partners, they each received a 49% stake in the property in November 2011, in exchange for erasing about $400 million in debt.[7][8] The Maloof family retains a 2% share, with options to buy back up to 20%, and George Maloof continues to manage the property.
