we haven't chatted in a while but I wanted to tell you I placed a flag on Veteran's day to honor your grandfather's memory. Spent most of the week ( USMC BDay and Veteran's Day) and the weekend doing lunches and dinners with WWII vets like your grandfather. The state of our Corps is strong Gunny. Your grandfather would be proud of this generation of Marines. Semper Fi.

Thanks you very much Ax. I'm sure he seen you place it for him and was very proud and thankful. Sure did miss that call from him on our Birthday. Guess we will just have to keep that going. I called every Marine I still have contact with and wished the happy b-day to them. Felt it was my duty since Grandpa couldn't do it. Thank you again for placing the flag it means alot to me and I know it would to him also.

God Bless all Service Member's during this time when we need them most. Hope they come home soon. If they are home in the States I hope they get to spent the holidays with their family.
