Have a few quiet minutes here and thought I may go OTB tonight so I am looking over the Mountaineer form and will post as I go.
Things are never as easy as they appear, but in the first race I think one horse stands out, the #1 Chancy Si ridden by Andrew Ramgeet. I am capping this card based on the track being muddy or sloppy given all the wet weather over the last 24-36 hours, its clear now and I am sure they will get the track in good shape and may even list it is fast, but under that surface it will be messy.
This one stretches out to 8 furlongs after a very good closing effort at 5.5 furlongs last time out, has the running style and draws the advantageous rail which is winning at 15%clip for 8F on an off track. His main competition will come from the horse right next door, the 2 Kentucky Champ, problem is his running style will have him WAY back at the start and I just don't think he can make up the ground. With the inside bias I could really see a 1-2-3 trifecta here, but my main play will be on the #1 to win. Could be an early night for me as I like this one alot and he may make or break me for the night depending on the price, 8-1 is ML.
Will post others as I get through the card, but the kids are waking up so it may be a while, first post is at 7:00 here in the East so we have plenty of time.
If any of you are capping Sam Houston tonight please post your thought in this forum if you would.
Good Luck
