LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux is the subject of a federal criminal investigation out of New Orleans, said Baton Rouge attorney Nathan Fisher, who has been hired to represent Perrilloux.

Fisher said he could not comment about the nature of the investigation, but could confirm that the investigation is taking place.

Perrilloux has not been booked on any charges, Fisher said. The Baton Rouge attorney also said he is unaware of any pending hearings or other court action scheduled to take place in connection with the investigation.

"I don't think it would be appropriate at this time to comment any further," Fisher said late this afternoon.

FYI-It is apparently a credit card/identity theft issue, as well as Perrilloux supposedly taking counterfeit money into casinos and buying chips then cashing out for the real cash.

Matt Flynn will be the starter no matter what. 5th yr senior with a good arm. Led the Tigers to a 41-3 win over Miami and looked flawless. He'll get his shot and Perilloux will have it for the next two yrs. Pending he's not in jail.

Too bad the NCAA prohibits student athletes from getting jobs.

Yes FLynn would be the starter anyway I agree.

There is a rumor out there that RP is already kicked off the team. Guy is a complete bust. Hard to believe he didnt want to come to texas in part because Mack Brown wouldnt commit to the starting job as a freshman over Vince Young. Mack dodged a bullet on this one.
