Driving to work this morning on I-35, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Mustang doing 75 miles per hour with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner! I looked away for a couple seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that damn makeup!!

Well, sight scared me so badly I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my legs, splashed and burned me in a sensitive spot, ruined the damn phone and DISCONNECTED AN IMPORTANT CALL! LOUSY WOMEN DRIVERS!!!

Don't let me get started on women. My wife and I are going through a separation and the bitch took everything. Including my kids!!!! And to top it off, the court system treat men like dirt. This is the order how we are put in consideration by the courts. Please tell me if you agree or disagree. They protect:

1. Children

2. Women

3. Pets/Animals

4. Men...Coming in last place again. A total injustice.

But when it comes down to passing judgement and punishment, we are handed down with the largest condemnation. Not fair!!!!

DISAGREE 100%!!!! granted, i got *custody* of my kids, but my ex gets visitation, and is $22.000 behind in child support right now............ he is a twice convicted *criminal sexual assault against a minor* offender, yet unless i spend $3000 for an attorney to get a judges ORDER, i'm not allowed to leave the state with the children!!!! granted, i got most all belongings in the divorce, but as the breadwinner at the time, i also got all the BILLS that went along with those belongings.....even his child support delinquency is treated as a separate *case* as him being able to charge me with kidnapping, and taking custody of the kids if i leave the state with them.......

does THAT sound fair??

actually the worst drivers are the asians......the ones just off the boat anyway.....these people can do the most meticulous work in our research facilities but you put them behind the wheel and you might as well have grandma without her hearing aid and trifocals on driving.....i get behind them every day seemingly and you never know what they are going to do and they drive about 15 mph under the speed limit

freeze,

Well, looks like we finally agree on one thing. My people are horrible drivers. You are correct, especially the ones we Vietnamese call FOB's (Fresh Off the Boat). Putting them behind a vehicle is very dangerous to the general public.

BahamaMama,

My sympathy goes out to you. I'm not saying there aren't any dead beat dads out there. Please excuse my saying so, but your ex should not even get visitation rights if he can't even provide for his children. All I'm saying and seeing right now is that I live and breath for my twins (a boy and a girl...got lucky). They are my life. What about us fathers that would do anything for their children? There are some us true fathers left out there, you know. And she just takes my life away from me. My ex is a heavy drinker and should not be allowed to be with them. On the other hand, I'm glad she moved back in with her mother. At least I won't have to worry about the kids when she gets drunk. It just pains me that unless I have hard evidence about her, I know I will lose my children. The courts are just that way. And to me, I will do or spend whatever it takes to get my kids!!! Again, I'm sorry for situation. Though I am of the opposite sex, I am however, a parent and understand, to an extent, what you are going through. Best of luck to you.

1.) Chopsticks, I'm guessing that ole Eddie doesn't practice in the great state of Texas, but I'm also pretty sure he'll stroll through here in the next couple of days and reply to this thread...unless he's preparing for a trial and has taken a couple of days off. I mean, taken days off from perusing the internet, ya know?

2.) BM, too bad you're not in Tennessee. We might could get his visitation eliminated (or at least cut back) and you can draw interest on the back child support...at a rate of 10% per annum, post judgement. (...I have no idea about the Minn state laws...but then again, you can't get blood outta a turnip.)

p.s. BM, you're getting charged too much. find another attorney. LOL :D

p.s.s. Scott, LMFAO @ that one. :thefinger

lastly, njsf & nhl.... if i make it to the superbowl party next year, remind me to tell you about one of my trips back from memphis.... i ran outta gas right in the middle of...well, you know. was so into it - i didn't even see the flashing gas guage on the dash.... had to get a trooper to take us to the next exit to get gas.... no, it was not funny. :nono:

Chopsticks......do NOT, i repeat, do NOT give up on getting custody of your kids......... it's GREAT to hear a dad that really wants custody :) .....

i just fear you have a poor impression on what the courts are all about these days..... they don't automatically side with *mom* like they did in the past. If not full custody, you could get joint custody without even batting an eye........ the only problem this brings on, is neither of you would be allowed to move from the state without permission from the other...but so long as you have no desire to move, no problem!!!

and you're right, he shouldn't be allowed visitation any more, but unfortunately, he is :(

(will add, tho, that i do NOT feel that the kids are at risk around him as far as sexual misconduct goes, or i'd run the risk of the kidnapping charge and just BAIL) :D

again, do NOT give up!!!!!!! you'll likely be happy with the outcome :D

p\

taoist.....wanna talk about the cost of living difference between MN and TN? ;) i'm probably talking closer to 1000 in TN :)

and he IS being charged interest on the arrearages ....but that goes right back to that blood/turnip thing :)

unfortunately, i NEED him for sanity breaks for the visitation...if i HAVE to live here, he HAS to take them :) ....and as i said, i am in no way worried about the sexual misconduct thing as far as his own kids go.

know any cheap lawyers licensed in MN? :D
