Loy Maryland -12 over Iona ****** strong play
Loy is 2-1 in MAAC knocking off pre-season fav the other nite 77-69.Greyhounds led by 18 at one pt.Never trailed.I hate using revenge games but today will be one.Pastos has done a great job since leaving the Terps .In 2 yrs they won 6 and lyr 15.He has the best player in the MAAC[Jordan fans will argue at marist] brown the 6'4 gd from providence is an impact player.He dominates and can take over a game. he shoots the 3,the mid range and can slash to the hoop.Sullivan the other gd can stick the 3,and harvey another player from my area is at the point one of the best looking froah in the MAAC.Tuck and Alujevic are both 6'7 fds and Fofana who at 6'10 has been somewhat of a disappointment still contributes.But what has made the grey better is the addition of Isreal who just became elgible.he's 6'8 can shoot and rebound but more importanly plays great defense.Loy starts 3 gds now with harveys addition. pastos has a lot of depth.
There is bad blood between Ruland and Pastos.Iona has dominated this series. They have won 20-21.have run up the score in the past..showboating,etc.
Iona is 0-12.have no gds that can score.frontline is there only scorers and they are avg. Sringer there best player is out abd camper there 2nd best player is out another 6 weks.Ruland today will start 3 freshman.Rodriquez,Hassett and Prodanicovic.Prod can shoot the 3 but is 2-21 in last couple of games.
Iona can't score,can't shoot FT's. There am amazing 50% from the line.marshall is 6'8 and a shot blocker but not a scorer.
Greyhounds at home today will dominate and pay back the Gaels.The torch has been passed.Iona dominated the MAAC. from one of the most explosive teams to a total rebuilding one.Ruland is also the worst coach. No discipline..had half his team a few years ago equal to miami football players. he cleaned that up. also he has 4 top recriuts coming in. So Iona will be back. But not this afternoon in Reitz.
