LP, any thoughts on the Hokies this week? Seems that they have gained some confidence since the qb change

Saw that Norell Pollard was pinched for weed on campus lw - not sure how that affects team as i would think they would want all hands on deck this week on the dl, even with the expected return of Crawford

Thanks and good luck this weekend

Terrible play calling by App St. 3rd and 4 close to midfield w 2:30 left in the game and they throw 2 incomplete passes. Thought they should have run the ball twice and get first down.

I EXPECT THE HOKIES TO GET THROTTLED BUT THATS WHEN THEY TURN AROUND AND PLAY WELL...BUD CAN GAME PLAN WITH THE BEST OF THEM ESPECIALLY WITH BYE WEEK...THIS TEAM IS FRUSTRATING TO WATCH AND I WILL BE HONEST I DID NOT EXPECT THEM TO GET 5 WINS AFTER DUKE BUT AT BEGINNING OF SEASON I THOUGHT THEY COULD BE UNDEFEATED GOING INTO THIS WEEKEND AND THEY ACTUALLY COULD HAVE BEEN BC THEY ABSOLUTELY SHOULD HAVE WON THE BC GAME BUT MULTI INTs IN THE RED ZONE PREVENTED THAT AND EVEN THOUGH DUKE GAME WAS BLOWOUT, THEY WERE IN CONTROL EARLY WHERE DUKE COULDNT MOVE THE BALL UNTIL WE GIFTED THEM SHORT FIELD AND THEN THE AVALANCHE WAS ON.

NO DOUBT IN MY MIND VT HAD THE EASIEST SCHEDULE IN THE NATION AND I THINK TODAYS GAME WILL BE MORE ABOUT NDs REACTION TO LAST WEEKS EMBARRASSING LOSS...DO THEY DO A GUT CHECK AND TRY TO MAKE A NEW YEARS DAY BOWL RUN OR DO THEY FOLD LIKE A LOUNGE CHAIR BC PLAYOFFS ARE OUT OF THE QUESTION ...IF IT IS A GUT CHECK THEY ROLL THE HOKIES 45-10 IF NOT WORSE

thanks for the response LP, agree on all accounts

they do seem to have an added dimension on offense w/ Hooker at qb and the way they won the UNC game likely sent them into the bye week with some added confidence

my initial read here was that ND would fold, and agree this is a much different game if they show some pride and come out to prove that last week was an aberration - not sure whether or not I fully agree that the game would be 45-10 if both teams played their best, though I do know that a ND cover is a lot more likely in that scenario

again appreciate the response - not a fan of today's short card and for me it's VT today or taking the week off to recharge for the stretch run

good luck on your plays
