Fairfield +5.5 over Manhattan
It's No 1 seed vs 2 seed.Just like the MAAC comish wanted.MC had a tough time vs Niagara's zone defense.It's amazing manhattan won in double OT with Niagara'a best player Darden who contributed nothing.He forgot to showup.Mendez was a stud inside.Fairfield coasted until the end when Siena made a run.
Both teams split and beat each other on the visting court.Flores and Gai stand above everyone else.I see a close game going back and forth.Bobby G finally gets over the hump and wins a shot at the "dance".But think the Stags keep this close to the very end.I had the line at -3.I love that extra 2 and a half pts.All these games have been down to the wire in the MAAC.Championship game will be the same.And it wouldn't surprise many if the Stags win outright.There front line is bigger then the Jaspers.And MC got killed on the bds by Mendez and Rhodes yest.Manhattan's weakness is at pt gd.It will be exposed tonite.Both teams have depth.MC is 2-4 ats in last 6.Fairfield is 6-1 ats and 3-1 ats vs the Jaspers.

NC-Wilma -6 over Drexal-defending champs that have won 8 in a row.
Blizzard,Callahan and Burnett.To much for Battle and co.I love they motion offense they run.Spreads everyone out and gives Blizzard room to drive,shoot or dish.Wilma is ranked 15th out of 233 ats with a 16-8 record.Make that 17-8 after tonite.

Mass -1 over G.Washington
Mass. will win this at home.Monroe will get his 23 to break the record for GW but Mass will be up by 15 when he does it.GW cannot win in Amherst.They have lost the last 3 visits there by 5,13 and 17.Mass has won 6 striaght ats vs GW.GW on the road is in trouble.

LaSalle -11 over Fordham...LaSalle has beaten the Rams by 13,20,19,9 and 9.Rams sneaked in 1 win.Neal dominates.It's Hills last game.

Middle Tenn pk over Denver..
WKU -6.5 over New Mex St
NIU -12.5 over Buffalo...upset the other nite by the Buffs doesn't matter.Buff is 225th ats.NIU is ranked 22nd.Easy win by 15-20.

Well,
For all the great reasons you have up already and the fact that
there will be a ton of talent out there on both sides..........for all the marbles..........the recent BATTLES (back and forth) between these two teams........I can forsee a close one with a lotta lead changes....and possibly a W on the last posession.
Give a slight edge to Bobby G.....with LF at crunch time BUT
5.5 seems huge.

Bear,had a great weekend.Our future students are A-1.What a bunch of great kids.Over 250 students and all respectful and polite.But not one wearing Converse sneakers but me.We also did a verbal breakdown drill.Everyone had to get into groups according to what deoderant you use.I was in a group of 3.I use Ban. I guess Ban ain't to popular anymore.

I'm glad your on the Stags too.That just seems like a lot of points.And Bobby G never attacked the Purple zone.They put Mendez out on the right wing so Flores always had him out there.Flores best shot is on the right side or top of the key.Hopefully O'Toole watched the game and will do the same.

Innavation,both teams will mix it up on defense.Fairfield will play zone but the Jaspers have some zone busters in Kono,Jackette,and of course Flores.Stags weakness is out side shooting.If I was Bobby G I would pack it in,and not let Deng G flash to the high post for that jumper he loves from there.
Both teams will try to run it.Both will press.Niagara ran a token 2-2-1 just to slow the jaspers down.One thing Niagara did was put darden and Mendez on the right side in a 2-3 zone.MC couldn't shoot over them.Stags have smaller gds so Flores might hit a few more then yest.

Box- Was on Fairfield as well. Hate their guards. O'Toole needs some perimeter guys to go along with Deng Gai. Garcia cracks me up...looks like he should be playing with 40 year old guys at the Y instead of college hoops.

Hoops, Manhattan defense just swarmed all over ineffective Stags.I could tell 5 minuts into the game Fairfield was in trouble.They don't have any real outside shooters.Just thought the big guy would hurt the jaspers.He was nowhere tonite.And your right about Garcia.Think he played for Sacred Heart CYO down by you.Or maybe saw him in your Middle school mens league.
Leaving Thur. for Glen Falls with some of your boys.Mt Vernon beat Kingston.To bad.But Seward coach is a good friend of mine.Hope he does it.
Did OK tonite.Played the zags also.
