Alright I came across this line for tommorrow and can't decide if it's a gift or I'm being sucked in.

Canisius +1.5

I just can't see how Iona is a road favorite in this spot, this will be their 4th straight road game (of a 6 game road trip) and they've yet to win on this current streak of road games. Granted they did play well at Niagra on Saturday, but they haven't won a game in conference this year and I just can't see how they are justified as a road favorite.

As for Canisius they've made somewhat of a turn around winning their last two and playing their three conference games tight (Beat St Peters Saturday, lost by 5 to Niagra and by 1 to Fairfield).

Wondering what others have to say about this one, I don't know what's holding me back, maybe I can't trust Canisius, I'm just not sure. Thanks for the help in advance.

Blackman,it's a tough game to capp.Iona has so much more talent. There gds are better, fowards, center.Canisius probaly doesn't have one guy that could start for Iona.Iona is 7-0 SU the past 7 games and 5-1 ats against Can.Lyr Iona won by 10 up in Buffalo and by 4 in New Rochelle.Griffs are a good away ats team, terrible home team.Meanwhile Iona is also bad on the road.Iona is 12-17 the past 2 yrs on the rd.
Iona does lead the MAAC in defense. But they play free lance, run up and down.Ruland is a lame duck coach. He's gone as soon as the season is over.
I haven't capped this game yet, just was looking at my notes.See you tomr..GL

Thanks Box. Agree on the talent and the fact that Iona has won 8 straight in this matchup is impossible to overlook. Line smells fishy if you ask me, going to sit this one out.

Iona is coming off a very close loss to Canisius' crosstown rival Niagara...Purple Eagles are a much better than the Griffs...3rd game in 5 nites for Canisius...small four guard O will have big trouble on the boards vs Iona...Jenkins who was shut down by Niagara should have a big game vs Griffs...as said by Box, Iona has the talent but Ruland is a lame duck...but even so the MAAC means something and this is their best shot so far at their first win...line is definitely fishy...reminds me of the Canisius/Brown line the other day...IMO the play is either Iona or lay off...I mean how can Vegas put out a line that favors a team that has lost 8 of L10 and is 0-7 on the road and 0-4 in league play unless they know they're going to win...

Thanks guys. The more I think about this one the less I like it. If anything I think Superbook is right on with Iona, but I hate to completely flip flop from my intial lean so it's a pass for me. Good luck to anyone that gives it a shot.

Sometimes the more you overthink the less success you have. Not annoyed that I passed on this play but I do hate when I talk myself out of my intial gut reaction.

Oh well, no harm no foul as they say.
