Iona -12 over Fairfield *****
Iona is in the top 20 in scoring,FG%,and 3 pt shooting....they have Armond and English who shoot 3's from anywhere..Bowman comes off the bench and he is shooting a 3 before he takes his warm up off..they have Laury inside to rebound and nobody else..they can't rebound or play defense..rank almost last in the country..they avg 82 and give up 80...almost every team they face get their season highs vs Iona...84,92,90,80,96 and 106...they played the Stags a few weeks ago and won by 11...Stags scored 72 pts almost a season high...but that was on the road..Iona is home tonite..Stags are the worst team in the MAAC..even St Peters pulled a come from behind win the other nite..but with Gaels defense Stags will score..but not enough to stay with Iona..you see.. Fairfied also has one of the worst offenses in the country avg 60 pts a game...they also foul a lot on defense...Stags will win the battle on the bds but just can't score...Iona wins this by 20 at home..
Siena -5 over Marist **
Saints just gave Rider a whupping the other nite..Pastos went to a zone which he never does and Rider couldn't hit anything....Saints at home have won 3 of last 4..starting to play together...think the longer Pastos has his kids playing his Greyhound system the Saints will be tough esp. at home...Foxes are on fire...Lewis and Hart are tough to stop...lost 1st 9 games and have won last 5...but most of those were in Poughkeepsie...Foxes problem is they have no bench.... the other nite they got 0 pts from them..and Kemp their center might not play..he got hurt at the end of the game the other nite...if he was 100% I would grab those 5 pts....he is listed as doubt full.They need him inside and he has been playing much better...Foxes get tested on the road tonite..and w/o their big man could be in trouble...Saints did beat Rider,Fordham,Hofstra and the Bonnies already...
Niagara -7 over Monmouth *
Purple have Mason who I think still leads the country in scoring...Purple can't play defense either..rank almost last in the country in defense ,FG,etc..this is 1st trip up for Monmouth being a new member in the MAAC..think Purple take advantage of these newbies...
Canisius -5.5 over Rider **
Griffs got upset by Marist the other nite...Baron was a one man team...Rider who can shoot 3's almost as good as Iona also is like Iona and cannot play any D...Rider has Myles and Stewart who can score...and like Iona can't rebound...Griffs stumbled the other nite vs Marist..at home they are 3-1 and with Manhattan losing to Quinn the other nite they are out of 1st place....Griffs have to had watch some tape of Siena game to see how stop Rider..Rider should score but it will be tough to stop Baron and co...esp. after a loss and on the road...
Quinn beat Manhattan in a close game the other nite..Aztom has 18 pts and 17 bds...but Manhattan's Beamon played only 5 minutes and scored 0 pts..think if he played the Jaspers would of won...
