Iona - over Marist ***** strong play.I think the line is off by 4-6 pts.Will come back later and explain.

Manhattan - over Peters ***** same, strong play..

After going 3-50 in the MAAC I'm finally winning in the tourney going 5-1.Freak'in Loyola on that last play..
Just want to get some early games in and will come back and do the Sun conference and Maac tonite.

My 2 cents on Nova - over Cuse * small play.
GMAC's last game.Caravans on the interstate coming from Scranton.Over 33,000 thousand,maybe more.A sea of orange in the dome.Big Mo,Mac's leaving,etc.
But the reality is Cuse is not a good team.There 7-8 in BE.Lost 8 of last 12.Coming off the Massacre of DePaul,only second to Custer at Big horn.Cuses zone is weak although vs WV they did a good job.But Nova will get penetration from Lowry and you have Ray,Allen and Nardi out there.Cuses big men are avg,watson and Roberts.If they were dominate it would be different.
But with all the "mo" going on I'll make it a small play.I think GMac might have to much pressure on him today.Wright will be pressuring his rear end.And Cuse cannot press at all today.Not against the Nova gds.

Kentucky - over Florida * I'm tailgating you guys out there.
OU plus over Texas *
Chat plus over Davidson *
Northeastern plus over Wilma ** this is some story.Barea and co are dangerous.

Johnies over rutgers *
The 1st time in years the Johnnies are playing an important game.They win they make the BE tourney.There playing in Alumni Hall[Carnesseca now] and the place will be sold out.Mason is coming back from an injury.But there only outside shooter and best player Hill is out today.Douby is Rutgers,Walters there coach has been fired.If this game was at the Garden Rutgers would win.Small play Johnnies with Lawrence and co playing that tough defense and winning a close game.Storm did beat RU in NJ earlier by 3.

Hofstra plus over G.Mason **
Staying with the Pride.Not a huge play because Mason plays great defense and has balanced scoring.But Hofstra is tough to gd.If Uter can stay out of foul trouble then Mason is in trouble.I watched Hof beat Mason last week by 11.I think this is a close game and will come down to the last few seconds.I;ll take Stokes with the ball vs any other player in the Colonial conf at the end of a game.

WKU - over New Orleans. **** strong play
WKU has the best best scorers in the Sun in Lee and Winchester.WKU ranks No 1 in offense,FG%,3 pt %,and is in the top 4 or 5 catgories in all the conf stats. NO is last in offense,defense,FG% defense,scoring margin,etc,etc.
Think WKU plays with them for 30 minuts and then puts them away.

So Bama - over Ark Lr ***
Bama is much better in conf stats.No 2 in defense,4 in offense 3 in FG%,1 in 3 pt Fg %defe,3rd in bds,etc.Ark is 10th in offense,and knocked off a terrible North Texas team.They ahve lost 7 of 8 before NT.Bama plays tough defense and wins this..

Middle Tenn - over Denver * MT is the hotest team in the Sun.Playing at home vs a team that has one win on the rd in conf.Ironically its here at MT.

Troy plus over La-laf *
Troy broke the record the other day hitting 23 from beyond.Unreal..They now have 338 tre's this year.Laf has 155 this yr.Think dixon,Ramsey and Jackson will outscore another hot team in Laf.Close game that goes down to the wire..

Agree on both MAAC tilts, the Gaels and Jaspers are on a collision course for a rematch of that game that closed out the regular season. Think both lines have come in very low based on how much better both squads are than the rest of the league and the double bye factor for Manhattan. Good luck, hopefully this final sets up how both of us see it.

Iona - over Marist strong play...
This is the most talented team in the conf.Burtt is 6th in the country in scoring.Solivar was just named Def Pl of the Yr in the MAAC.MuCullough is another solid defensive player.Wasch,Bruin,Springer are all pretty good.There the fastest team and most explosive.The problem is there out of control a lot.They had Manhattan beaten in the championship game leading by 10 I think with only a few minuts left and they fell apart.Lyr they get knocked out by NU by 3.Yest they whipped NU.
Marist has been on a roll.Jordan leads the nation in assits.Smith is the 7'0 that wants to play gd.he can nail the 3 though.Whitington who loves the Pepsi Arena can stick the 3.They have some depth and switch a lot from man to zone.Both teams beat each in the others gym.If you saw last nites Cansius-Marist game the Foxes have trouble with gd oriented teams.Griffs played 4 gds and stayed in the game.Iona has 3 gds that are quicker,more athletic and present a bigger problem.Marists defense is not very good despite what some stats say.I think Jordan who had 6 turnovers yest will have his hands full.
I hate playing Iona for a strong play when this team has ego's everywhere.Iona always seem to get itself in a hole down by 10-14 pts and then comes back.I think they will be more focused today.Foxes have won 11 rd games this year.They have beaten both Man and Iona already.Just think there defense will have trouble getting enough stops vs Burtt.Lyr Burtt hit for 38 pts vs Foxes.
Put pressure on Jordan and don't let Whitington get good looks..Iona wins by 6-8 pts.

Manhattan - over Peter. strong play..
I know MC is rested for a week with the double bye and Peter is playing there 3rd game.But Peter is on a roll after Clark hit that layup with a few seconds left.Siena could of won that game at the end.MC has beaten Peter 6 of the last 7 times they played.Won this yr by 7 and 13.Bobby G has there number and does a great scouting job on them.Winning the conf w/o CJ is amazing.Austin has stepped in and done a great job despite his inconsistency.Xavier is the real MVP.Dubois has to be the dumbest basketball player in the MAAC.Has fouled out of 9 games and was in foul trouble during the scrimmages in Nov.MC's defense has been somewhat inconsistent also.But they all play like a team.Wingate is a great role player. Peter's Clark scored his 3,000 pts.Sowell has really improved.Orta presents problems and Spann can fly.
If Dubois stays out of foul trouble I think MC can control the paint and win this game.It should be a rematch of the MAAC championship game tomr nite.Although Peter can score there defense is bad.Even though Peter has played better D in Albany there capable of giving up the 89,109,91,and 78 like they did the past two weeks.

OH for 2 for me so far today. I think I'll take your advice and lay a few bucks down on these two strong plays. Both looked good to me but I couldn't pull the trigger earlier.

wow....pretty strong opinion and write up on a team that you think will cover the spread by 3-5 points (iona)

personally not sure if i trust that team and think manhattan might be the stronger play of the two, but will likely tail you on iona
