iam not mac expert but ive been around hellah10 my whole life to know a little bit. my guess would be to pick someone from the mac west since the mac championship game will be held at a mac west site. nobody from the east will probably win because they would be on the road

Good article on the MAC with an brief overview on the teams. Although I think the writer is a gaping a**hole for my own reasons, I have to agree with him on his forecast for the league. Miami should have enough to win the East and I actually plan on being in attendance on Nov. 12th as a '00 alum. I've said for two years that this game could be the biggest game for Miami's football program as they possibly derail their rival. That being said Northern Illinois will score a LOT of points and will be dangerous all year. Glad to see lots of chatter about this conference in Hellah's absence and we'll have to do a collective effort to replace him.

my 2 cents...

central florida is gonna struggle. schnieder doesnt have doug gabrial to throw to anymore and their defense didnt get any better. the allready lost a dozen players(starters and reserves) to injuries or academic problems. they have no depth

akron should never be considered. they have to play at miami and at marshall....and iam sure marshall has that game circled for revenge from last year. akrons defense is terrible.

i would take:

toledo (mac west)
niu (mac west)
bg (mac west)
miami(oh) (mac east)

I think I will take my chances with NIU and BG in the West. Then I will go small with CF and Akron. Thanks for the input everyone!
