MAC game - N Illinois/Ball State

Looking for any of you MAC guys to give me some guidance on this game .... my lean is to NIU -7, but see they are 0-3 ATS while Ball St is 3-0 ATS this season .... only saw NIU in 1st game against Ohio State & not sure of their current form, they seem to have bounced back with 2 straight wins (against weak competition however) which may give them some confidence to go on the road against BSU .... don't know much about Ball St except that they were able to knock off Indiana??? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or information on this game.

ball state lost to indiana after getting out to a 1h lead. this line looks weird, but ball state has given niu fits in recent years. im not sure how much, if at all, the number factors that. but the cards knocked them off 31-17 last year in dekalb as something like a 24 point underdog. i believe two years ago they were a 17 pt dog and took them to overtime. going purely off memory but i do know ball state plays this team tough. but northerns offense is getting into high gear and they could easily lay a 20+ pt beating on ball state if they get going. but cards have been a pain in the ass for northern so i think there are better gms out there. im not a big teaser guy, but northern absolutely cannot lose SU if they want to win the west. they already have a loss to ohio. this is still the best team in the conference.

Thanks for the reply and thoughts gman .... must have mis-read the Ball St/Indiana score from earlier this year as I saw 24-23 & thought they won, guess it was actually just an ATS win for Ball St .... good luck this week.
