Bowling Green looks like an incredible team to me. . . off a bye week also. Hmmmm. . .I was gonna hit BG hard now I think I'd better just stay for away.

hellah:

gl man. normally we seem to agree on each others big plays, but brandon has his guys rolling teams at home and scoring at will. not sure how in the world cmu is gonna stop bgsu off a bye.

its mindboggling to look at bgsu's offensive numbers at home the last year and a half. theyre AVERAGING 54 ppg.

im confident youve capped this one and looked at lots of variables, but ballsy to go against a team that pounds the sh1t outta teams at home.

GL, hellah. Hope you hit em.

Was curious on Cent Mich vs Bowling Green. Do you think Bowling Green is better than their 2002 edition?

Same question for Cent Mich. Are they down from 2002, or not?

GL, man. Welcome back to the States.

Central Michigan @ Bowling Green

You may ask why Central Michigan?!

Me and another capper capped this game to be 17. We figure it would be 14 with Perry in the line-up, and we both knew Perry would be out for the season...but jesus...they really inflated this line cuz of his injury and of cuz what BG has done in their OOC games.

QB Situation with the Chips!

Let me tell you fellas one thing...Derrick Vickers can play!!! When I came back from overseas, I was SHOCKED to see Vickers #2 on the depth roster. I dont know why he is...but Iam sure he did something wrong. Vickers is the type of QB that I like...he has a pretty good arm (for their offense), can run, and hard to bring down. He`s like a baby Josh Harris - except Harris makes bigger plays. I figured Vickers would be the starter anyways by mid-season, he`s too good of an athlete to just sideline. Also, having a QB like Vickers who can run...it`ll keep the linebackers of BG honest. Instead of dropping back deep and playing the pass when the QB drops back...they have to stay home and respect Vickers running ability. This opens up passing lanes and the flat. This is what happened last year when CMU scored 28 points in the 2nd half in last years game...and I expect it to happen again. I mean come on, Vickers is ranked 1st (or top 3 I forget) in 5 offensive categories for the Chips - HISTORY!!!

Running Game?

With the exception of Toledo...the Chips IMO have the best trio of backs. They go 4 deep! Terrance Jackson, Jerry Seymore, Kenan Lawhorne, and Issac Brown. Terrance Jackson missed the Ball St game for some odd reason. Jerry Seymore wont be playing this game - he`s out for 4 weeks. But these backs are GOOD! Terrance Jackson is a biggg back. 5'11" 235 lbs...and he's the type of running back that FALLS FOWARD! That is a BIG deal...trust me!!! Ive seen enough good running backs come through to Toledo to prove this fact! When you fall down, it takes alot out of the defense. In the Toledo/Pitt game...Toledo running backs were falling foward - the Pitt running backs were falling back! Falling foward = punishment. This offensive line is no shit line either. They have a good big OLine. The chips have 2 guys on the OLine that are going to the NFL for sure. Adam Keife and Jeff Jenerou. In fact, they say Adam Keife will go 2nd or 3rd round. So I`d say the running game will be in tact!! For those who have Phil Steeles 2003 CFB magazine...you can see Adam Keife in a picture ;) This Chip OLine has only allowed 5 sacks this season...the fewest in the MAC.

Wide-Outs

Wellll..the Chippewas arent much of a passing team. They will line-up in shotgun alot though. Willie Hill and Justin Harper are the 2 prime WRs for the Chips...not much of a threat tho. However, they do have a freshman all-american at tightend! Tory Humphrey is a awesome tight end that can do it all! Catch, block, hit...whatever...he`s a great weapon/

Defense...

Well, they wont stop BG...simple as that. Purdue couldnt stop BG...Ohio St couldnt stop BG...nobody will stop BG....BUT you can slow them down. I dont know what the plan is for the Falcons...but Iam hoping they run the ball. Fortunatly the Chips get a few guys back on defense from injury. BUT....there is a playmaker on this defense...in fact, one of the best in the MAC and was an all-american himself (sporting news) - Iam talking about James King. The guy had what...21 tackles against Michigan?! jeez. If Harris fawks with King...King might make him pay, and more then likely, he'll avoid Kings side for the rest of the game.

Special Teams

Same. Both have great punters...great placekickers. Although...CMU's punt coverage sucks..I hope they get that fixed up with the bye week they had.

Why nothing on BG?

Cuz everybody knows about them...must I go into detail?

Conclusion....

Like I said before, this line is inflated due to Jeff Perry being out. CMU is a good team with good players. in fact, they have great players at the skill positions. Not one peep about CMU this year...right? All BG, Toledo, NIU, and Marshall...which is right. But will they tell you they had over 200 yards rushing on Michigan?? Junk time or not...this is suppose to be big bad Michigan with a big bad defense.

Final Score

Bowling Green 42 Central Michigan 31

I WILL BE ATTENDING THIS GAME
