Scott-Atlanta - no

Nickelback - Eastern Michigan is in dire striats. The team stinks...they got some good players but they turn that ball over so many times. Buttt what Iam really basing this on is talent. Central has alot more talent then Eastern does and Central is about 3 deep in running backs. They kept the Marshall offense in check. I think Central wins this by at least 14

KingLeffy - I hate Blackjack LCR

GOAT - :D

That is a great page for daily MAC updates. Thanks for posting it. Love Ohio+18 also. Improving team, good running game, Mia(OH) giving up alot of rush yds recently, and a nice sandwich game for Mia(OH). Sounds like a good spot for the dog to cover. Thanks again for all your contributions to this board Hellah! GL saturday.

Crazyhorse - I was thinking the same exact thing. This is an obvious sandwich game here for the Redhawks. They got Marshall Tuesday night on national television and it`ll be Big Ben vs. Lord Byron.

Iam hoping that UCF has a big turn out.

yeah hopefully they will be looking towards the marshall game as much or more than we are hoping. love backing dogs in sandwich games as long as there are other positive factors. With Ohio's improved play and Mia(OH) penchant for giving up big rushing yds, this looks like a great spot. Some cold, rainy weather wouldn't hurt either. Also love the fact they got the outright win vs Toledo (sorry) as a road dog as that makes the sandwich game even stronger, IMO. And another thanks for posting the pic of that NC St babe. Sent it to some of my friends and they all love it/her.

second look at Ohio v Miami

second look at Ohio v Miami

You're the MAC expert, so I wanted to ask you about your Ohio pick.

First, Miami is playing at home after beating a great Toledo team. They're really humming now.

Second, Miami is third in the league in run defense, and they held Toledo to 155 yards. If Ohio can't run, they can't win.

Third, Miami is a top program, beating UNC and Cinny on the road, and only lost to future Big 10 champion Iowa by 5.

Trends:
MIAMI is 3-1 against the spread versus OHIO U since 1992
MIAMI is 8-2 straight up against OHIO U since 1992
MIAMI is 2-0 against the spread versus OHIO U over the last 3 seasons
MIAMI is 2-0 straight up against OHIO U over the last 3 seasons

All games played at MIAMI OHIO since 1992:
MIAMI OHIO is 2-0 against the spread versus OHIO U since 1992
MIAMI OHIO is 3-1 straight up against OHIO U since 1992

Games played at MIAMI OHIO over the last 3 seasons:
MIAMI OHIO is 1-0 against the spread versus OHIO U over the last 3 seasons
MIAMI OHIO is 1-0 straight up against OHIO U over the last 3 seasons

Common opponents:
Ohio only beat Buffalo at home by 2, while Miami beat them on the road 49-0.
Ohio did beat Kent 50-0 on the road, while Miami only beat them by 7 at home.

According to that MAC link, it sounds like Cribbs won't be playing for Kent; might be a good spot for BG to roll....assuming of course they aren't looking ahead to the infamous "Blood Bowl" vs Toledo (have to admit I'd never heard of that one). I guess BG could be looking ahead to my Huskies the next week but NIU has been hit hard by injuries at the RB position. As for the others, I think UCF can spank a weak Syracuse team.

Enron - The only reason what so ever I took Ohio was because I think its a sandwich beyond all sandwich games. They got Marshall on Tuesday night...on ESPN in front of the nation! Miami and Marshall knows whoever wins that game...hosts the MAC Championship.

Valuist - They call it the blood bowl because during the week of the game students give blood :)

DIME - Well, come to think of it...I was ready to add that just as I read your post. Iam gonna add Marshall for various reasons...

1) Dumb reason but lets face it...who doesnt win the Hiesman. And today ESPN reported that Leftwich is the front runner and its his to lose...and I know he says he dont care this that and the other....but I mean come on...Any athlete, especially from the MAC would have a hard-on if they won the Hiesman...so I see Leftwich playing perfect and for tons of yards for this game and until the bowl game.

2) Akron - VERY VERY weak run defense. Will mix up the the running game along with the passing game...kep them honest I suppose. Akrons D just sucks period...shit, they couldnt stop a kicker if he was a QB.

3) ON TV

4) On turf...being on the road wont hurt them...wont take any speed away either.

5) Central Michigan was wake-up call.

6) Cuz I said so...

People are saying this will be a sandwich game because Miami(OH) will be in town on Tuesday and on ESPN.....please! No such thing as a sandwich game when it comes to Marshall unless they are playing Va Tech or something...

Adding Marshall -18

I am glad you cleared up that selection on Ohio. Because if it was not a sandwich game I believe M Ohio eats there lunch. They still may if they get good lead. They can run allday on Ohio.
