a few things:
1) kent state fans definitely showed up tonight. as far as the late game goes, it was probably 2/3's kent state fans.
2) i was impressed with how well-represented central michigan was. not exactly the closest proximity to gund arena, and the chip fans were there and really into the game. was a sea of gold for the most part when the cmu/niu game was going on
whats funny is i specifically remember lookng up at the jumbo-tron when the score was 25-22 ohio with 10:00 left in the 1st half, and saying- oh my god, this game is gonna go WAAAAY over the total. teams were just trading 3-balls. the pace really died in the 2h and somehow, a complete shootout somehow stayed under.
i was pretty close to the floor, and i was freakin screaming for ohio to get the fu/ck out of the zone. not sure how many 3's kent had to hit before o'shea got out of the zone defense.
ohio definitely had chances to win. but that game was a perfect example of how poised and kent is. theyve been in those spots before and ohio clearly looked rattled down the stretch. but cats played very well, and covered
