Maddux To The Yanks

wow, that would be a total suprise...The Chicago Sun-Times was reporting that Boras was heading to Phoenix after going to New York, to help with a arbitration with Eric Gagne, than that the would most likely introduce Maddux as the Cubs new pitcher. Im suprised Maddux would head to the American League, since he allready turned down a Red Sox offer a couple months ago.....
Maddox is looking for a shoo-in for his 11 victories and a spot to play golf on all off days..can't do it in Chicago..too many day games to suit his ass..He has always been cheered when he played in Chicago the last 9/10 years. If Cubs meet Yanks, in WS, he may get tomatoed.
I only saw one big benifit if he joined Cubs..teach the young arms how to thow the circle change....drop the pitch count..Now Cubs will just have to use Troy Hawkins more..15-3 with an era about 2.00 the last two years with the Twinkies

I hope I'm wrong but it sure appears that Maddux is not signing with the Cubs. I can't understand why he has not signed given the offer he has received from the Cubs. Must be he would prefer to pitch elsewhere.
May have spoken too soon...Atlanta Journal Const. reports under "Breaking News" that Maddux will sign with Cubs...
