You have heard it here first. The Orlando magic will beat the pistons in the first round of the playoffs. I am a season ticket holder and one of the biggest critics they have. ( I am sure the homer references will come out) from some of the more un-intellegent members. To me , if you are there for most of the season you have a little more insight than your average joe with a satellite dish. Enough said about that.

The magic have made a late season trade that will help them a lot in the playoffs. Gooden is a REAL solid paint player that will have 40-45 minutes per game. Giricek is also a good player who has the range from the outside as well as the ability to slash and either score or get to the foul line.

Other factors that must be considered is that doc Rivers has been playing possum the last month of the season. He has regularly been playing the whole roster and giving minutes to one really key player-Steven Hunter. This guy is going to be one of the best centers in the east (I know that is not saying much, but for somone you haven't heard of this is pretty good) Darrel Armstrong is going to be fresh and everyone knows T-MAC is coming out this year. The magic will put the wood to the Pistons

I dont know the odds on the series, but they should be good.

Taking the magic for a Dime to beat the Pistons in round one.

I'm probably just an un-intellegent member and an average joe with a satellite dish but what kind of extra insight do you have to tell me Steven Hunter former Blue Devil stiff current Orlando stiff is going to be one of the best Centers in the East.

Orlando aint going no where, if the beast is even close to 100% the Pistons dominate this series, im a huge Orlando fan, have watched them play at least 55 times this season, these rookies like Gooden and Girecek are gonna choke under pressure. If your looking for an upset, i like the Bucks over the Nets alot.

Chauncey Billups vs. Jacque Vaughn?

Nuff Said!

You are relying on two rookies in their first taste of NBA playoff action to make a difference....

Come on Frank!!!

Apparently Vegas and everyone else agrees with you.

According to the 8 series prices I see, Orlando is the 2nd lowest priced dog (only +180) meaning they are REALLY good or people think that the #1 seeded Pistons are REALLY bad.

This may be the lowest price on an 8 seed ever...okay maybe the NYK over Miami a few years ago but that was a 5 games after a 50 game regular season where seeds/records were irrelevant because of the shortened season.

Good luck, it's offense vs defense and in playoffs I usually side with defense but Wallace is a ?

iverson took his team to the finals by himself..we are talking

about the east not the west

Not really cause that 76ers squad had the defencive player of the year, 6th man of the year and coach of the year, Iverson was the main guy but he didnt do jack by him self.

If Mutumbo wasnt on that team, they would not have made the final's, they had a great TEAM! T-mac doesnt have the solid suporting cast that Iverson had that year, Wallace is the X factor, if he's not healthy the Magic should win the series, that's why the line is so low...cause the beast is a ?

Im also picking the Bucks to upset the Nets but im not betting on them.

If Big Ben comes back healthy, Magic might as well throw in the towell.

If you want to pick a dog, I say go with the Trailblazers. They split the season series with Dallas. Dallas has not been playing well of late, Michael Finley is nowhere near 100%. I'm live in Dallas and have been a Mavs fan since the Derrick Harper/Ro Blackmon days, but the Mavs tank in the first round. You heard that here first!:D ;)

Very well stated hungh. My point exactly!!

All I was trying to do is give out some insight to the magic. By the way did you know that the stiff you are talking about(Hunter) was the all time leading shot blocker for Depaul. Did you know that during the off season he tore his ACL and is just now getting back into shape.

Do you remember about 3-4 years agoo when Marcus Camby came out of nowhere in the playoffs. I expect a similiar effort out of Hunter. If you watched the magic play the pacers last week you would have seen Hunter hold Jermaine Oneal in check. Who is the BEST center in the east.

I was just trying to help this forum with some insight on a team I watch all the time. They are starting to gel and now is the time too play them

They are a lot more talented than you think.

one word about Camby, Rizzo (not trying to start anything) the boy was a semi-monster in college

that said, the +180 odds for a #8 looks shakey, I heard Wallace playing, etc--but wheres our Deet inside scoop?

take care, gregg

ps i dont see Bux having a shot vs Nets

Like your Blazers

Like your Blazers

I kinda like the Blazers myself. But I have taken some nasty beats on this team when they implode. If they could only get through one series playing like men instead of assholes it would be great. Good luck

Frank know all about Hunter seen him play at Depaul alot(live and on TV). Live about 15 minutes from the stadium. As far as Centers in the East better than Hunter don't really have time to name all of them but start with home town boy Eddie Curry. As far as giving the forum info you could do it without calling anyone that disagrees with you unintellegent.
As far as Orlando winning over Detriot they are a sure thing if Wallace is out, if hes playing Detriot should handle them. At least I'm hoping bet Detriot to win the East at 8-1 earlier in the year.
Did'nt mean to start a war with you but you came off a little cocky.
