Today I received a copy of this magazine for the first time. The timing of this issue of the magazine really has me puzzled as there are ads for MVP, VWager, Millennium, Players SB and Bettors Net sportsbooks as well as Popular Poker, Gecko Casino, All Tracks, Poker Elite and Bogarts Casino. There were also a couple of full page ads for tout services.

Every one of the gambling sites are under the Bet On Sports umbrella and have been shut down for weeks so I am confused as to why they went to the trouble and expense to print and distribute this publication that is obviously a shill for the various BOS shops.

However, the most interesting thing that I found in this magazine was a full page ad that states that ?Magnum Pro Football guarantees your account with any sportsbook mentioned within this magazine, for the amount of $100,000.00 against non-payment and business failure.?

I am still in disbelief that this company would not only continue to publish this magazine but better yet, have the unmitigated gall to print this ?guarantee?! While I doubt that anyone will be able to take Magnum Pro Football up on this, the following contact information for this publication is available:

Magnum Pro Football
Piso 9, Mall San Pedro
San Jose, Costa Rica
(888) 444-6272 (fax)
magazines@magnumprofootball.com

Their website is magnumprofootball.com and when I tried to go there, I got the following message:

Sorry for the inconvenience
The site you are attempting to access is undergoing maintenance.
This maintenance time is necessary for important ?behind the scenes? improvements.

LMAO, I bet there is a whole lot happening ?behind the scenes? at Mall San Pedro these days.

judge...

that's funny i received the same magazine.i guess it was because i had an account with millenium. i didn't look at the books that they are sponsoring...i just read their writeups about the pro teams....thought their content was okay.

for me it was just something to read...but i think you're post is funny. it's too bad because i liked millenium.

Mass mailings of magazines or catalogs can be tricky. It's printed weeks in advance, or more, and may have been first mailed out before all the controversy.

Local post offices sometimes delay bulk-mailing delivery for completely capricious reasons. Really unpredictable.

Either that, or these sportsbooks are just really really stupid.
