Teams who scored 40 points or more in a playoff game are 3-22-2 ATS in their next game since 1996. Tom Brady and the Pats are 0-3 ATS in their next game when scoring 40 or more points. In 2004 Pats beat Steelers in the conference title game 41-27.

They were -7 in the Super Bowl against Philly. They won but failed to cover 24-21. In 2011 they beat Denver 45-10 in the divisional round They were -7 against the Ravens in the AFC title game. They won but failed to cover 23-20. In 2012 they beat Houston 41-28 in the divisional round. They were -8 versus the Ravens and lost the game out right 28-13. Last week they beat the Colts 43-22. Not a good omen

less a specific AFC trend, as much a returning CHAMP game trend that applies to NE

since 92 if a team lost in the Conf Champ game, are 8-0 SU / 7-1 ATS if return to the game the following year

I saw the same trend statistics or very similar statistics noted about Indianapolis playing New England after the Kansas City game . . . I was on New England over Indianapolis . . . and I will be on Denver over New England . . . not because of the trend, but it does support my plays.
