man charged with manslaughter for chasing kid who shot bottle rocket at car

i just heard it on the news...this isn`t exact,but it`s what i heard...

kids shooting bottle rockets at passing cars....amazing...bottle rockets....

.one goes right through the passenger window and whizzed right by the driver`s face.....

it could have killed him if it hits him in the eye or the temple....

so,the guy gets pissed and chased the kids...the kid runs in front of a car...gets killed...

and the police charge the chaser with manslaughter....

our justice system is absolutely nuts....


the other kid should be charged with attempted murder...

this reminds me of our ridiculous laws regarding car chases....when a person flees from police in a 2,000 pound vehicle,that`s every bit as dangerous as anything involving a gun...probably more so...

yet,there are few minimum penalties for such actions...

should be at least a 5 year mandatory sentence for fleeing from police in a motor vehicle...

The driver will get off I would say and depending on what state it was in.

The other kid can be charged for something, most states you have 30 days to bring charges one of our attorneys would know, but the other kid can be charged just like if 2 people rob a store or shot and kill someone and shooter is only 1 who has gun and pulled the trigger. The other person is charged with felony murder most times. Murder after the fact and other charges like murder while committing a felony stuff like that.

So I am sure depending on age ,the other kid will face some short of charges and yes it could of killed driver or injured him and killed other people on the road if the br would of caused a wreck, see if you can keep up with this if you know where it took place post it and should be in their local paper I can look then.

I remember a case growing up 3 teens 2 were 17, 1 was 18 all seniors at high school in Morgentown wv. They were throwing snow balls or really ice balls was a wet snow, and one broke out side window of car and driver hit a telephone pole and killed driver on impact and injured 2 children very bad their ages were around 5-7 . The youngest injured the 5 year old girl lost both legs and her brother had lot of internal injuries, All 3 of those hs kids did time and it was hard time not a slap on the wrist I was in high school at the time and never threw snowballs again at cars because we did that never thinking but never with ice balls and a bottle rocket would never be that stupid. The other should do some time I don't care they caused the wreck IMO by their actions.

They shot at one car to many. At least it sounds like they had been doing this for about 10 minutes. Something so dam stupid. But yet when we were kids we did some real dumb chit to. But back in the 50's it seem to run off peoples back much easier then now. Seems now days everyone wants to hurt someone. But this shooting bottle rockets is new one on me. And dam sure above snowballs or tomatoes.
