Man, what a pisser...

So Nole won a 7-night cruise with Carnival a couple of months ago. 7 nights from Baltimore on the Carnival Pride. It's a shit itinerary but it's free and they're giving me a $100.00 on-board credit. Sun, fun, cocktails, gambling and a week with my wife.....a week we need!

Ship sails from Baltimore Jan 26th and returns Feb 2. Anyone know what Feb 2 is? Yep, Super Bowl.

So? What's the problem?

Wifey is one of three managers at her work. One of the other managers' son is tight with Denver mgmt. If Denver wins Sunday, he gets 2 tickets to Super Bowl! Nice.....for him! If the Patriots win, he's not going. He would leave for New York Tuesday and stay until next Monday. That would leave 1 manager for basically a week working everyday and night. He's not too excited about that(personally I would step up if it helped out another co-worker but that's Nole for ya!). Wife is lowest on the totem pole for vacation time as she's the new kid on the block.

I've already bet $100 on Denver ML so I can get something out of this. I obviously hope I lose.

I truly believe the Pats can win as do a lot of people but when I saw they opened at 6 1/2 I was not too happy.


I could use some positive karma!!!

Well, I thought the same thing! Let's say there will be sun and fun AFTER we leave Balty!

The drive to Balty from Knoxville and back should suck as well!

2 days at sea on the way to Florida should warm things up. It's one of the worst itineraries I've ever heard of! 2 days at sea, Port Canaveral, FL, Nassau, Freeport and a day at sea. Putrid!


But it's free!

Now, going to call Carnival in the morning and tell them that wifey is sick as Hell(which she is) and see if they will change names(which they said that I can't).

My 17-year old is crossing his fingers. A Senior trip for him. My 14-year old is cool with it and looks forward to another trip with the old man soon!

Wifey and I will make a week of it when I bowl in Reno April 10-11. Either San Fran before or after my tournament. We love SF!

Won't have much of a bar tab with my kid going and I won't be in the casino much as we'll be hanging together. Hopefully he'll meet up with some kids his age in their Teen Club and I'll be an after thought.

Gotta squeeze in a parlay "Hard 8" sometime during the cruise though!
