Retreads hired: Mattingly to a club that can't be patient and keep a manager in the Fish!! Sucks to be them but good for him.

Bud Black to cure the clubhouse in DC for the Nats? No fucking way!! He's never done anything as a manager and he's a pitching guru? Really? Ok, who has he helped? Shields didn't go forwards and Cashner certainly went backwards!

How does Bryan Price still have a job with the Reds?

How does Dusty Baker not have a job other than as a guest analyst?

Why are there no black managers as of this writing?

Andy Green a manager with the Padres? Where is his big league pedigree? Oh I guess since Kevin Cash went into Tampa and had them on a brief winning streak it's ok to bring in Andy Green, AJ Preller? Really!! WTF!!??

Other than the under 25 year old stars in MLB and the feel good story of a mid market team in the Royals going to the WS in back 2 back seasons, baseball right now, sucks big time!!

Horrible management running clubs for certain!

Oh and better yet!! Why the fock did Bahstin hire Ruben Amaro Jr as 1st base coach? He ain't coached in over a decade!! And now he can figure out how to keep runners from being picked off when he can't run a big league club? Good grief Dombrowski!!

Mat tingly will be the 8th mgr. since 2008 , I read that he signed 4 yr. deal . Good chance he will be collecting a check from the Marlins & managing some other club.
I also don't understand the lack of black mgrs in MLB. Was Dusty even offered an interview ?
Agree with you that Black is not a good fit for the Nat's problems. I heard some where that x-catchers make up the majority of current Mars. Is that true ?

Lots of clubs have gone with former catchers, mostly because they have the whole game in front of them, they call the pitches and see the fielders and get a feel for the hitters and some have been pretty good, but that list is not that big to be honest. Bochy best of the bunch!! Matheny is ok, he's as good as his talent is.

Scioscia, Cash, Servais now w/Mariners, AJ Hinch (couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat but decent "D"), Ausmus (we see how good he's done so far), most others are pitchers or former front office/farm directors etc., Price was a pitcher, he sucks there too, Chip Hale infielder, Counsel infielder, Collins infielder, Mackanin utlility guy, Hurdle IF-OF, Molitor IF-OF, Weiss infielder, Andy Green infielder, Gonzo utility guy, Black lefthander with Royals played for Jim Frey, Maddon farm director/scout infielder, Gibbons utility but he caught some too, and yeah, Joe Girardi decent catcher, but so was Yogi Berra, LOL!!
