Mandalay bay's "THEhotel"

Heading to vegas this weekend for a bachelor party with 13 buddies. I haven't seen or heard much about this new hotel. Is it far from the other hotel? Is it near the casino? What is it like? Has anyone heard of anything special or exciting going on in vegas this weekend?

it's next to Mandalay Bay- looks like its mostly just hotel at this point with a rooftop restaurant/lounge planned. I think the casino/shops are over at the regular MB. Supposed to be Euro-themed with 750 sq ft rooms and plasma TV's (even in some bathrooms).

I'm staying there in April- let me know how it is if you stay there

I can give you a promo code I received in an email today from Mandalay bay offering rooms at this joint or Mandalay bay at deep discounts. I think they were offering them from $109 USD w/$30-50 upgrades to suites. Last until april I believe.

I saw the models of the suites when I was there for New Year's and they looked really nice. It's a little bit of a walk to the Casino, but it's not terrible.

Bobby, how far of a walk is it, or for me it will be a stumble?

It's not that far, if you've been to Mandalay, if you go from the Casino past the restaurants it's on the other side, near the Aquarium. It has it's own entrance so if you're coming from another casino, they'll let you off in the lobby, but it's probably a 5 minute walk from the casino

As for that $109 promo... its not valid for this weekend i believe. I got the same promo from MB and im planning to be in vegas this weekend.. but they dont honor it since it is a holiday weekend.
