The Canisius College Golden Griffins open a three-game MAAC homestand this evening when the Blue and Gold plays host to Manhattan in the Koessler Athletic Center.

The Griffs enter tonight?s game with a 2-12 overall record and an 0-4 MAC mark after losing at Rider 102-51 Jan. 6.

The 51-point differential is the largest margin between two MAAC teams.

The previous record for the league?s biggest conference victory was held by Canisius - the Blue and Gold beat Fairfield 91-54 Feb. 8, 1997, at HSBC Arena.

Canisius is 2-0 in its last two home games played in the Koessler Athletic Center.

In their last two home games in the KAC, the Griffs are averaging 84.5 points per game, highlighted by a season-high 88-point effort in the win over Coastal Carolina Dec. 15.

Turner became the first active Griff to record 500-plus career points, 200-plus career rebounds and 200-plus career assists after he pulled down eight rebounds at Saint Peter?s Jan. 4.

Sophomore guard Jovan Robinson knocked down one 3-pointer at Rider Jan. 6, the 17th time in the team?s last 18 games he?s hit from behind the 3-point arc.

Freshman Rishawn Johnson had a career-high four rebounds at Rider in his fourth career start.

Manhattan enters tonight?s game with a 7-7 overall record and a 1-3 league mark after falling on the road at Marist Jan. 7, by a score of 76-66.

The Jaspers have won three of their last five and start their western New York road trip tonight with a 7-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in league games.

Manhattan is led by sophomore guard Antoine Pearson and his 12.9 points per game scoring average, which ranks 11th in the MAAC.

Freshman forward Andrew Gabriel is the team?s top rebounder with 5.1 rebounds per outing this season.

Junior forward Devon Austin is chipping in 10.1 points per game for the Jaspers. As a team, Manhattan is averaging 68.7 points per game, which ranks fifth in the MAAC.

Six different Manhattan players have started five or more games this season.

Tonight?s contest is the 71st all-time meeting between Canisius and Manhattan in a series which began in 1910.

The Jaspers lead the all-time series by a 41-29 count.
Canisius snapped a nine-game losing streak in the Draddy Gymnasium last season with a 67-64 road win Jan. 27, 2007.

Manhattan has won four of the last five meetings between these two teams in the Koessler Athletic Center, dating back to the 2002-03 campaign.
