Florida -5.5 over Manhattan
Cuse -2 over BYU
Dayton +2.5 over Depaul
Bama -2.5 over SIU..top play
Zona -3 over Seton Hall
I see many are on Manhattan.Think MC has big time matchup problems.
Florida despite "Dry" going back to Europe this team is still solid.People are saying they are overated.Damn.They just lost to Kentucky in the SEC finals.Prior to the UK loss they beat Vandy 91-69.Beat Bama,Georgia,Arkansas,South Carolina and Miss by 2,8,5,11 and 15.
There is a big difference in Manhattan beating Marist by 1,losing to Rider by 1,beating Niagara by 1 in the MAAC finals.
MC lost to 5 teams this yr.All had good gds.Penn,Wichita St,Rider,Iona and the Cuse. They have close wins by beating St peters,Niagara,Fairfield, etc all by 3 pts.
MAAC vs SEC is day and nite.Manhattan is the elite team of the MAAC but they almost lost the championship game.
Florida played the 6th toughest schedule in the country.MC beat Richmond and Wisky-Mil besides the MAAC teams.
But this game is all about matchups.Florida the past 8 games since losing Dry has gone to zone defenses and hasn't pressed as much. But that has worked in there favor.
The Big 3 are Lee,Roberson and Walsh. All 3 create matchup problems for the Jaspers defense.Lee inside and outside is much quicker and can score.Roberson who is avg 17 pts a game but over 20 pts in the SEC tourney can play the 1 or the 2.He can shoot the eyes out of the hoop.Walsh is the 2 or 3 who can do it all. These 3 avg just under 50 pts in the SEC.Lee is 6'9 and Walsh is 6'5.Humprey is the 6'2 gd that is also quick and can shoot.
Moss and Colas both avg about 5 pts a game and are both 6'9.The frosh Abukar also plays and is 6'10.Al-Kaleem and Appley are both 6'3 gds and will play. All are athletic...
MC has Flores who is avg 24 pts a game.Minor and Wingate split time at the pt.Both are small and weigh maybe 170 pounds each.Holmes and Benton inside are 6'6 and 6'7.Mulligan is 6'5.Thats there front line and Mulligan really plays better outside.....
I'll continue tomr...and just keep updating this post...
