sorry to hear that. Have lost 2 dogs in this manner, and that's 2 too many. Hopefully he will pull through.

His name is BB.. He's a 2yr old black lab mix... We got him for my youngest son on his birthday. My son named him BB?

BB has 3 broken ribs, a ruptured bladder, 1 broken leg, and several stitches... They completed surgery on him today to stop internal bleeding.. His blood work is a mess?.. Still critical...

The Vet's throwing $numbers$ at me for all the procedures they could possibly have to do?.... All I could say to him was do everything you can, but if it looks like he's going to suffer for the rest of his life, then put him down... Am I wrong?

Clinically Depressed

No buddy....You're not wrong. My parents had a dalmation stricken with arthritis and cancer real bad when I was younger.....Finally I came home from college one day and "Sparky" wasn't around anymore. The sad part was that he was only 6 years old, but I still remember the look in his eyes when he needed help getting up, going to the washroom, etc.......I think it hurt him more than it hurt us to be so dependent. I'm not sure the moral of my story here, but I really think my parents did the best thing. As much as you and your family would miss "BB", I don't think either you or he would appreciate a dependent lifestyle. And believe, I know there is nothing a man wouldn't do for his dog, so don't feel guilty about the monetary aspect if that is an issue. Sometimes you just need to do the humane thing, whatever choice that may be. Believe me, I know this is a sensitive subject, and I just wanted to give a bit of support. :(

trossi, i take it you dont have a dog. and i also take it that you are the kind of person that doesnt think before they speak.

the guy just had something tragic happen to his dog (possibly his best friend) and you are telling him to be more careful.

think what you want, but no need to put that chit in his thread.......

fat and sassy, good luck with it all.....i dont know what I would do if something happened to either of my dogs.
