MARINERS/ORIOLES Under 9.5 ?125 - The Orioles are very high on Matt Riley, who began this season by allowing a total of 2 earned runs in 13.1 innings over his first 2 starts. Tampa Bay hit Riley very hard in his last outing however, so this start tonight should give a good indication of his resiliency. Given that Riley allowed just 2 runs and 7 hits in 10 innings last September after his call-up, and that the Mariners have never faced this southpaw before, I see no reason why he should not bounce back with a solid outing. Meche may have a 5.19 ERA and 1.62 ratio, but one poor outing vs. Texas skewed those numbers considerably. He has actually pitched well in 2 of his 3 starts so far, and he has also recorded 5 Quality Starts in his last 6 starts overall vs. Baltimore. Remember that Meche won 15 games in his breakthrough season last year, and the fact that he consistently throws in the mid 90s with a good curveball and slider to compliment his heater makes him very tough to hit when he is on his game.
