SEATTLE MARINERS -140 ? The M?s are 7-3 and starting to show signs of duplicating last year?s magic. They are coming off of a 4-game road sweep at Anaheim. Moyer is just 0-1 in 2 starts, but he deserves a much better fate than that, as he has allowed only 4 earned runs and 10 hits in 13 innings while not yet walking a single batter. He is 3-1 in his last 4 starts vs. Texas, with all 3 wins being Quality Starts. Valdes has always been an underachiever given his stuff, as he always seems to pitch just well enough to lose. He pitched well in a 3-1 loss to Anaheim in his first start, but typically allowed a 2-run homer with the game on the line in the 7th inning. I would overlook this if not for the fact that Valdes always seems to give up key hits at crucial times.

rangers starting 4 lefties in tonights lineup against moyer, catalanoto, greer, palmeiro and blalock-- granted moyer isnt overpowering(lefties actually hit a little higher off him last yr) but none of these guys have much success against him(blalock hasnt faced him b4) anyway good luck again, later
