Mariners to Win Series

Ok, i need some advice. I am thinking about taking the mariners to win the series and here are the odds from intertops

Seattle Mariners to win in 4 odds = 9.0
Seattle Mariners to win in 5 odds = 7.0
Seattle Mariners to win in 6 odds = 5.0
Seattle Mariners to win in 7 odds = 5.0

This is what i want to do put 100 on each of these outcomes. I really feel the mariners will step up even though the yankees are doing well right now.

Would this be a wise move?

if mariners win in 4 thats a 500 net profit
in 5 a 300 net profit
in 6 or 7 that is a 100 net profit

Anyone have any thoughts on it? I really like the mariners

Of course if the yankees win id be out 400

here are my thoughts.....if you bet the 400 on the Mariners to win, you have about a 300 net profit.......

300 for game 4 vs 500
300 for game 5 vs 300
300 for game 6 vs 100
300 for game 7 vs 100

So, unless you think that sweeping the Yanks is twice as likely as winning in game 6 or 7, you are making the wrong bet......

It is probably more likely that they will win in game 6 or 7 -- as indicated by the odds you have.....

actually sportscapper -- you have your odds a bit wrong I think....

on a 9-1 -- if you win, you would turn a 600 dollar profit, cuz you wouldn't lose the 100...correct me if I am wrong, and only lose the other 3 bets.....

I think it is a far better play still to take the Mariners for the series in one play unless you break it down, analyze all the pitching matchups, the bullpen possibilities, possible and probable points of momentum swings -- and bet according to that -- which is tough to do, especially for novice handicappers......

my suggestion would be to just throw down on the series for Seattle if you feel strongly about them....that is the best bet rather than an across the board play like the one proposed.....

Thanks, freeze I think i will take your advice and take the mariners to win the the series. It would be a lot safer, but the but the optimistic side of me wants to play the odds. I think i may do both. Thanks for the info Freeze : )
