How much the dismantling of Oregon by a pro sized active defense will affect his pocket book. I doubt it, but Maybe some of the NFL teams have wised up before throwing tons of money at college QB's in a "gimmick" system.
I think the QB from Ohio St that kicked their butts would be a good candidate for the new look nat f -lag league.
I think Mariota would do well in pro systems with New England, San Fran, Oakland, Atlanta, Tampa or Philly. He's a bit cerebral which is a good thing. Ohio St threw everything including the kitchen sink at him and stuffed their TEs from getting outside.
Jones is a throwback QB, this was his 3rd year at OSU and for a kid that was 3rd string, it says a lot for him and the coaches at OSU for the way her performed in those 3 games. It's a small sample size, but from seeing his HS football film, he's made progress since then and he sounds very mature for being a bench sitter for the first few 30+ games at OSU. Scouts love to make comps to past or current players when analyzing players, and for me, I see some similarities to Doug Williams when Doug was at Grambling years back and played with the Bucs & Redskins, except Cordale is much stronger and a bit taller at 6'4 + and 250. He's much more fluid than Cam Newton was at Auburn and is currently in the throwing motion and he's not afraid of contact. Mariota can just jump over you if he gets a head of steam going and he's yet to fill out his frame, much like Dan Marino when he was at Pitt before the Dolphins.
I think both QBs will make solid NFL QBs, they are certainly better imho than Johnny football or even RGIII. I believe a change of scenery for RGIII would help him thrive, like with the Eagles or Denver, someone with a solid O-Line so he doesn't have to rely on running.
But we'll see!!
