Riddle me this...

On Jan 7, Marquette marched into St. Louis as 2' pt road chalk, out rebounded the Billikens 33-13 and won the game by 6 (60-54).

Huh?

Marquette is currently ranked #25 in the polls, and with Wake Forest on deck, they may be in a little "look ahead" situation here.

I'd love to buy St. Louis at this price, but Marquette's rebounding edge conerns me, plus the road has not been kind to St. Louis this year.

I've looked at this game up and down and I think Marquette blows em out. St Louis just doesnt match up very well with Marquette and the Billie's are dreadful on the road. Here is St Louis's performance on the road against teams that i consider "decent" or better.

Lost @ Arizona by 33
Lost @ Butler by 22
Lost @ Kansas St by 17
Lost @ Louisville by 19

Even Houston beat them by 13 on the road.

Now look at Marquette:

They are a perfect 9-0 SU at home, and in their last 7, their LOWEST margin of victory was 21, most of them against middle-of-the-pack C-USA teams (like St Louis). They won 4 of those games by 30 or more. The only home game that they failed to win by 15 or more was back in November against Tex-San Antonio.

And oh, btw, Marquette is on a 7-0 ATS run.

Marquette always sruggles the game after playing Cincy. This is avery dangerous spot for them. Diener boys playing against each other increases intensity level for St. Louis. St. Louis has a good chance of stealing this one. The home crowd will not be all that fired up for this game and it will show in the Warriors oops Golden Eagles play.

I think St. Louis might give them a game here. Not a great one, but +14 aint to bad for C-USA here.

St L, has been playing a little bit better as of late, and this is the 2nd time they have met, and they did lose at home to them by 6, but this might be a better game. They might just might have a let down, since they beat cincy. Im staying away, just giving my insight

good luck boys and girls
