Blake had no time but had to throw up something. Randall was standing under the basket gets the rebound and tries to lay it in...and misses...with nobody around him. I see why his nickname is "Sleepy". He fell asleep on the play. Taj Holden might as well be carved out of friggin' stone. 6'10 and gets 3 rebounds all night. What a joke. I had them -7 and needed them for my last team on a big money line parlay. What a way to lose it.

Not to argue college basketball with you but even if you saw last week's game against NC State they ran that same play and won the game. I really wouldn't question the coaching either. Didn't Maryland just win the national championship last year?

Maryland is known for being a very stupid team, Im curious of what Gary Williams ats record is all time in March? Im guessing pretty bad.
Yes, "stupid teams" DO win national championships.

When I lived back in Washington (College Park is in the DC suburbs) I watched a lot of UMD basketball and I was always impressed with Coach Willaims. He's very emotional in a Bob Knight sort of way and gets all he can out of his players. He does seem to get more than his share of brainless idiots, but how in the hell do you coach a kid with a 75 IQ? Williams was furious at the lack of smart play from his players in the UVA game (the three point attempt at the end of the game was just insane). What killed UMD was poor rebounding. UVA had no inside game in terms of scoring, but was able to outrebound UMD by 2-1. That's a poor effort from the players, not bad coaching. Williams is one of the best in the game, IMHO.

I guess it was just a frustration tread if anythingelse. I am just so tired of seeing and betting on the kids that have no idea what a basketball offense is. Most games i see are just pass the ball around the perimeter and shoot the 3 before time runs out. IMO, the 3 pter has really ruined the game.

You hit the nail right on the head. College basketball is a three point shooting contest. Atleast move the line back to NBA range. But three point shooting is a way for teams to get back into a game in a hurry if they are down 10-12 points in a minute or two....
