Will never play in the nba.he had no chance of getting a shot off inside, consistently passed back out for a three because he didn't have the ability to work one move inside.he's no big deal defensively or on the boards either, but he,s supposed to be a good score.he's a little shy talent wise.

you can question his talent level but the kid flat out competes every night, never takes a play off. imagine how good some of these kids would become if they showed the heart of matt howard. sure he flops a lot, but he takes plenty of hits and bangs with the big guys and dives for loose balls. i'd want a player like him on my team. he keeps his mouth shut, he can hit free throws, 3's etc.

Agree with you both, but more with Hoops in theory than in reality. He's a guy I'd like on my team to set an example, but not a guy I'd want on the court in an important situation. I like the kid, but if he does get drafted, he's going D-League, quick.

Big surprise- the NBA didn't draft this stiffo. Hopefully he got good grades in college and has prepared himself for some other career.

The vast majority of collegiate athletes have no shot at pro ball. It doesn't diminish the fact that he has accomplished plenty at the collegiate level.

My hat goes off to Matt Howard for his contributions to a couple of impressive tourney runs at Butler :toast:

The Big East Player of the Year was not drafted either....let's face it, the NBA and College Hoops are essentially different sports at this point.

Steal of the draft http://www.butlersports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/mack_shelvin00.html

Sixers for years have needed a two guard and once again let one pass. Same ole shit. Mac will be top three of this draft when it is all said an done.

Don't you think that would be a reach for the Sixers with the 16th pick?
Not that any of these guys are real stars but the guard position is kinda deep for Philly with Holiday, Turner, Williams, Meeks, and a couple other bums. I think they addressed a need at PF especially after hearing the way that Thad was talking about contract and money prior to the draft. And to give up on Turner already is silly considering he was taken 2 overall, and Jrue is turning into a nice player, Lou off the bench was efficient, and Meeks has nice range. I'm not to excited about the pick but if coach can get these guys to play like they did in the latter of the season it'll atleast be fun to watch... if there is a 2011-12 season:shrug:
