Christ, I thought Ned Yost was an idiot. How fucking stupid can you be to do the same thing three days apart? Un-fucking-belivable. He better lose his job if the Dodgers end up losing this game!

Are you referring to leaving Kershaw in? I think any manager in that position makes same play 10 out of 10 times. Do or die you have to ride your ace who has been lights out until he wasn't. Always amazed at how Cardinals always do the unexpected.

Respect your opinions so not trying to start anything just giving mine. If that's not what you were referring to my bad.

After the first two hits in that inning he shud have been pulled especially on short rest and over 100 pitches. Gimme a break. He is a great pitcher but not a fucking robot. He is human. Mattingly needs to strap on a set and do what is right and stop being a fucking tool.

I think he's done. Man, I really do HATE the Cards. I guess i'll root for the O's now since I am from that area. Sigh.

Yes, that is what I was referring to. He got six shutout innings out of Kershaw on three days' rest. To not have someone ready to go in at the first sign of trouble is unforgivable.

I couldn't say it any better.

Where it is real F ing COLD
It's a tough call, I don't blame Mattingly for leaving him in there, it was only 94 pitches and the 2 hits before the homerun were not crushed balls. Instead of blaming Mattingly, I blame Kershaw for hanging a curve ball belt high right in the wheel house. Kershaw is your horse, your Cy Young, your MVP. he's got to get it done and if he can't your team isn't going very far anyway, like today

Still trying to figure out why Puig didn't start? If he plays he comes up in 9th with two runners on if batting second instead of Crawford's suck ass. Not to mention over the course of the game a chance to knock in runs. Or play him instead of Ethier who is a shell of his former self. I understand he's been struggling at the plate some but he adds other things to the game.

The way Turner crushed the ball lately why didn't he start? Regardless, I think Mattingly is toast. I guess that is what we get for having a Yankee as a manager.

It was a bad game to play the runline on. Maybe slight value in the +1.5, but other than that, no value.
Stop chasing shitty, unclutch teams, fellas, JMO.

Absolutely. It would be one thing if this didn't just happen a few days ago. But it did. Even my mom said before the game that Kershaw should be pulled after 6 innings, no matter how well he's doing. I guess she should manage the Dodgers. :0003

I backed Kershaw. Didn't think he would lose again in a must win situation. On the flip side, he was decent and the Dodgers were up 2-0. Mattingly must have thought Kershaw could have gotten out of that 2 single jam. He did not, he made the mistake of keeping him in. Bad move by him, he needs to go. With a payroll that size, LA should be in the WS. Mattingly is not the guy.

Don't be an asshole just to be an asshole. I said that AFTER I had said the same thing before the game started in a discussion thread about MNF. There was absolutely value in the runline. Kershaw gave up zero through six innings. The bullpen gave up zero. If Mattingly pulls Kershaw after 6 or after he gives up the first two hits, then the Cards stay on a bagel most likely. Don't know if you are trying to be funny here or just trying to be an asshole, but either way you are not trying to help. That was my attempt when I said that in regards to MNF.

Lol. I wasn't trying to be an asshole. My intentions were twofold...

1. To be funny. Frankly, I feel that I succeeded. Maybe if you had a brownie for breakfast, you could have found the humor.

2. To make the point of how worthless, unhelpful, and "asshole"ish your post was in the other thread. I believe you that you thought or said what you did before the game, but I still miss the point of how that was helpful in that spot. First of all, I didn't scour the board or interview your friends to see if your post tied into some comment you may have made that happened to play out close to what you said, even though you didn't profit of it. 2nd, If you think Greens, Hud, or I wanted your advice on how to bet games (in a thread titled BRUTAL beat nonetheless), at that moment- then your ego has officially gotten out of control.

Guys bitching about a bad beat, and Hashy comes to the rescue about how he "told us so" and then offering advice that he knows none of us will heed... no thanks.

All that being said, I still love you bro. :toast:

Top of the post is a link to the extensive discussion on the game where I said basically the same thing I said in the post that riled you up so. I assumed you read it since it was near the top of the NFL board all of Monday, but here it is to prove that I said the side had no value prior to the game as well.

I guess I don't know that no one will heed my advice. It is good advice, and even someone of your skill level should always be looking for ways to improve. I think that is what separates winners from losers in life. You do have a tendency to play too many games, and that MNF game was certainly one of them. I think if you honestly think about it, you would agree. But you certainly can ignore me or tell me to fuck off.

You are right that a bad beat thread was the wrong venue to get the point across, but the point is still a valid one. There are many people who play way too many games, and most of them do not have the bankroll nor the money management skills you do.

Feel free to give me advice. I may tell you to shove it, but I am sure I will appreciate it when I calm down. I would always value advice from someone who shows intelligence like yourself.

Love you too, brah.

No way, most managers would leave him out there.. Sparky would have let him go 5, maybe 6..... He was tired last out , comes back in 3 days and you think he can go 7 ???????? NO way !!~!!!

I believed you.

I appreciate it when i calm down too. My point was basically what you said, it was just sort of a bad spot to say I told you so, and the advice came off like, "See dumbasses, that's why you don't play too many games." And, while you turned out to be right, I'm just not too big on the whole "the side that won" tells all. I actually think that was a great spot for the Skins... and well worth the play. But again, I understand that's not really the point here.

I def play too many games, and i know that. I have pointed out this understood flaw of mine many of times. I do think the 'play less games' mantra is a bit overrated and not necessarily the proper advice in all cases. That's a whole different discussion.

Bottom line, I was just trying to be funny and point out in a sarcastic way that I dodn't really like your post without taking it all too seriously. That was my way - def sort of an ass move, but if it were in person, I would have winked and smirked at you while saying it, and you wouldn't have taken offense.

Cheers Brother... let's wreck em. BTW, do you bet NHL? :toast:

Yeah, again, that was the wrong situation to bring it up, and I apologize for my bad timing. It wasn't you that I was going after. It isn't you that needs the lecture about not playing just for action's sake. There are some that do though.

I actually barely ever watched hockey before the playoffs of 2013. I had a friend down in Peru who was way into it, and he got me into watching the games online with him. I did make some money during those playoff games, and I planned on trying to bet it last season. I only ended up betting like three games I think. I just was too busy trying to cap other sports that I know a lot better. I would like to diversity though. Do you have any hockey betting tips? I kind of thought it would be like baseball, where I try to find live dogs as much as possible as well as betting faves on the runline (I think it is puckline in hockey) so you don;t have to pay the heavy juice.
