I posted 3 plays on the Mavs yesterday:

1st half, 2nd half, and game overs. All hitting nicely.

I've followed the above model for the past week and have been pretty successful betting Dallas overs.

Tonight, I'm going against the grain and what has been successful for me recently.

Almost every stat and trend I looked at points to the over here. Dallas is averaging 103.6 points per game while yielding 99.7 points per game. 8 out of their last 10 games have gone over the total, including the last 4 games. 4 out of the last 5 Houston games have hit the over. Dallas has hit 100 points in 8 of their last 10. I could go on and on. The last time Dallas did not hit the over was against Orlando on the road, in a 113-87 loss. I'm counting on an off night from one of these teams here. Both the Rockets and Mavs are coming off a game last night. Houston is coming off of a road trip and has played 5 games in their last 7. Most people like the total to go over in a back to back situation because of tired legs. Here, I'm looking for tired legs to mean a lot of bricks. Both teams throw up a lot of 3's so I'm counting on misses. I'm throwing the stats out the window on this one and will go out on a limb and say the under is due here. I'm going with my gut on this one and one thing I usually kick myself for is going against my gut...I can't do it here.

Mavs/Rockets under 204 1 unit play
Mavs/Rockets under 102 1st half 1 unit play

If anything else jumps out, I'll be back.

Good luck with whatever you play.

i like it too......Rockets and Mavs always play physical games and tonight especially i think the Rockets will play slow on offense.....never seen a team take it down to the end of the shot clock like this one....

good call and very strong play.........

freeze-

Glad to see you like this one. I was hoping I would see your feedback or some type of post on the game tonight to compare notes! You are the man with the plan when it comes to the Rockets.

also gotta consider this......Rockets shooting was on fire until 2nd half in last game......they are very streaky shooters......one key to handicapping them is to stay AHEAD of the lines.......hot shooting has led to them covering even without francis and hitting the overs.....now totals should be inflated a bit while shooting cools off you can hit unders more consistently.......then vice versa after unders hit a lot and you can see signs for shooting to come around......anyways.....think the Under hits.....these two teams do not like each other and i think intense defense will prevail tonight and refs have a tough one to call tonight.......

Talk about a total misread on this one...all the stats in front of me but it looked too good. Hmmm, next time I'll tell the gut to shut the hell up. So much for the 1st half under 102 as the Mavs/Rockets have put up 96 points with 6 plus minutes left in the half....shit on me.
