Maximize Internet Explorer!

I have one particular computer that keeps switching Internet Explorer to a small window, rather than maximized. It's particularly annoying when I right-click a few links and hit New Window... then have to maximize each one. I've done Microsoft's registry cleaning of the windowssize, etc and it works for a while, but within a week... back to maximizing manually.

Anyway, today I found this little free program that runs in your tray and maximizes them for you. Thought others might be interested:

Thanks DR., Quite a while ago this started on my computer too. When I clicked on something, that small window always showed up.
Now after downloading your find, the only thing that still happens is when I click on a picture, when it opens, it automatically downsizes the picture to where I have to click on the bottom rt. corner of the picture to enlargen the picture to maximum size!
Is threr a way to STOP this from happening?

It seems that this little program is rather redundant in that all the things it says it does, can already be done without it.

I'd be really careful, sounds a little like a spyware program!!!

KMA,

I just ran a scan (ad-aware and spybot) and nothing was found. Is this your opinion or do you know for a fact that it contains spyware?

Thanks

Just open IE (only open ONE window of IE).
Open a window to maximize
then hit the toggle button that looks like two "squares" between the "minimize" and "maximize" option in the top right corner of the window.

Okay now you probably get that "tiny" window, right???
Resize that window. NOT by hitting the "maximize" but resize it physically. Put your cursor against the left side and draggggg it wider then put your cursor on the botton and drag it "taller".

Once you have a nice size "window" there hit the
Maximize (at the top right of the window)
then hit that "toggle" thing again (not the X or minimize or maximize, but the other option)
this time your window should resize to that "physical resize" you did.

Close IE.
Next time you reopen it the problem should be fixed.

Hope my directions made sense.

Dr. Strangelove,

I just saw your message about the Windows Optimizer. These optimizers are a dime a dozen, and they are seldom free. Plus, unless you are running your machine to its limits, (and I'm sure you're not *S*), you will not see any apparent benefits after applying them. If your machine is at home, and you use it for E-Mail, Internet Browsing, listening to music, and other such "recreational" activities, then you can optimize your system pretty much as good as any of the programs do by picking up hints from certain sites found on-line. My post about the optimizer stands and is known to be fact by several. It is similar to the Google ToolBar, is there spyware in that toolbar, is big brother watching through Google Toolbar??? . Also know, there are scans, and then there are scans!!! *S*

If you are running serious stuff on your machine, then if I were you, I wouldn't even be running Windoze, let alone Windoze optimizers.
