Houston, Texas
1. Alabama
2. Penn State
3. Texas Tech
4. Oklahoma
5. Florida
6. Southern California
7. Texas

Texas loses on ther last play at a #7 team, has beaten Okie State and Mizzou and OU...and falls to 7, behind OU they beat, USC that lost to Oregon State, Florida that looks greta but lost to Ole Miss at home?

Yet when Texas beat OU OU fell from 1 to 4?

Looks like Florida v Penn State or Florida v USC will be the result. If Tech somehow wins out they will jump Penn State.

Freaking ridiculous to drop Texas six spots not to mention ranking Oklahoma ahead of them. The AP voters have it right:

AP Top 10
1. Alabama, 9-0
2. Texas Tech, 9-0
3. Penn State, 9-0
4. Florida, 7-1
5. Texas, 8-1
6. Oklahoma, 8-1
7. USC, 7-1
8. Oklahoma State, 8-1
9. Boise State, 8-0
10. Utah, 9-0

I didn't even have to look.. but I figured both of your locations would say Texas .. :mj07:

Win your division, then you can bitch about the standings.. still a lot of season left

On a side note Oregon ST is leading the pac 10..

What are the Big 12's out of conference wins to demonstrate how great they are? Just curious. Please don't come back with hypothetical, maybe a fact would help the argument.

We all know USC's record against top 10 teams, and their record in Bowl games. I still they are the best team in the country.. especially with a month plus to prepare and get healthy.

It is always a matter of what time of year you lose.

USC loss to 1-2 unranked Oregon St dropped them from 1 to 9.

Texas loss to #7 TT on the road on last play of the game and they fall to 7 and that is with #6 Ga losing as well.

I have no issues with Bama,PSU,TT,Fla being ahead of Texas(maybe even USC).

YOU CAN NOT SELL ANYTHING ON WHY OU IS AHEAD OF TEXAS.

Head 2 Head Winner--- TEXAS.
TEXAS wins over Mizzou,OKST,ARK.
OU wins over TCU,KANSAS,NEB.

So both have 1 loss, Texas beat them, and Texas has played tougher schedule.

PLEASE....

And DT where are you from?

I live in the south, and Ill be the first to say the SEC is down this year. I actually think the big 10 is better this year than in past years.. and the big 12 is slightly overrated.

I think the 2 best teams are USC and Florida.. with Oklahoma and Texas right behind.

definitely agree with you judge...but for many years we knew that it is when you lose that is important....but fwiw i think fla. is the best team in the country...however what texas had done in their last 4 games should be worth something...

You girls crack me up. Plenty of football to be played and we all know that all the teams ahead of Texas will not be winning out. Texas needs to keep winning and they'll get what they deserve. From what I've seen, Texas is one of the best four teams in the country. They'll be fine, relax.

Texas is still #4 in the BCS and the current odds to win title are 17-1.
NICE ODDS for #4 in BCS and a pretty soft schedule left.
They need a little help, but lets get real.
They are far from out of it.
OU and USC are 6.5-1

So I will take Texas at 17-1.

Texas was completely dominated for three quarters of this game. Please put down the kool aid and go look at the drive chart for texas..

after playing 3 tough games you would have to expect texas to be flat for this game....but imo it's a testamonial to how mentally tough they are to come back like that & almost win....i watched the okla, missouri, & ok st games & was more impressed with how they made a game of it against tex. tech than anything else they did in the other 3 games...

This is why I like Baylor this week. Texas truly 'left it all on the field'. To have that comeback victory snatched from them late may be difficult to forget about during this week's preparation.

So Cal
I'd be happy with ANY of these four team in the BCS NC game

Florida(I played them to win the BCS@ 8-1)
Texas
USC
OU

I have a question also.
Can Texas play OU in the BCS NC ?
Has there ever been a NC game with 2 teams from the same conference?
